I always hated one thing here on Dust: skill is not always rewarded. Someone could be skilled if he does quick-strafe, or if is smart enough to take an enemy from behind, but still this does not guarantee your reward (in this case, the strategic kill).
After almost 2 years, I'm starting to think this game is intentionally unbalanced: if you're not "skilled" you shouldn't train, you should spec into the new FOTM. That's just not right.

@OP you killed heavies with a gek, probably because that heavy was not good. I'm not a good heavy either, still when we try the lolsquads the heavy spam and point defence is already the most efficient tactic.

Aim at his upper-torso, head area and you may get a kill off. It will take a long time if you don't land critical hits often but it's more than doable. If you use cover, it's even easier because you're blocking their HMG wave of damage. A whole clip sounds about right for a heavy anyway... Considering how low TTK is and how quick much is...I mean you can down most assaults with 1/4th of that or less if you constantly hit. Just yesterday I took out 1 full proto heavy and there logi in about a 10-15 second push as they were preventing us from going anywhere. Rushed out to them, shot some heavy (no kill) and went into hiding. It happened so fast that the proto began to back away and the logi started looking for me(the heavy I shot died from an unknown force as I got an assist out of nowhere). When I realized the logi had started falling back to his heavy I came out of hiding and switched to my SMG to destroy him. The heavy seen his logi die and decided to back himself into a corner so as to not be flanked. But I'm a f***ing psycho so I pounce on him with my MLT SG and destroyed him before he was able to react. No lie...I thought the heavy would get me I continued to flux the path they were using to attack us until some BBs finally showed up to relieve me of duty. What started as a random suicide mission ended in total success I've got plenty of examples were tactics beat gear but don't get me wrong, I also have plenty of examples of gear demolishing tactics. I kill heavies in my cr 175 shield scout, very sad....and my amarr logi suit too They are jusg bad And ive killed them with an smg too Trolling proficiency 5
