I think Derpship Pilots are the closest to one another compared to other classes. We have no hatred towards each other, equally despise wanna be pilots, and always end with a gg no matter the outcome at the end of a match and that's because we all have one goal: give relevance to the role of derpshiping when the rest of the community was against it. We struggled together and helped bring the derpship closer to where it is meant to be.
But like everyone here, I agree that KD ratio can not define a "good" DS pilot or even an ADS pilot. One of the best matches I've had was doing what I was meant to do. Flying and transporting my 2-man squad capturing/defending objectives.

PS: Thanks for the love!!!! What would you classify as a wannabe pilot vs. a pilot you'd have no hatred for? Skill with a DS doesn't apply to someone who supports DS.
Easy, it has nothing to do with skill. If you do not understand the flight mechanics of a flying in general, flying in terms of dropships, are not willing to invest the time and effort to learn these mechanics, understanding the basic role of derpshiping... kind of like those people who fly a viper for a day and start calling calling themselves pilots only to complain on the forums on how dumb vipers are and therefore all derpship types being equally dumb and pledge to never fly one yet still believe ADS pilots fly because its easy to get kills (irony) and blah blah blah... (FYI: my gunners have gone 19/0 in my Viper, it is possible to make a deadly viper). Get the difference???
Similar to the difference between a real tanker and tank spammer.
They are easy to identify. And never forget, a noob pilot is simply a true pilot taking their first steps in derpshipping (still better than a wanna be pilot)
Put it this way, if you dont know what a wanna be pilot is... you're probably one.

I honestly though he was hacking :D but check it out, and plz comment if u had a better dropship match than this....cuz I would like to know who the best pilot in dust is. Linky! http://youtu.be/o6dpm9R7wvo^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Skip to killboard if u don't wanna watch Lol k There's a couple I can't destroy, but I make all run away.
Not me!!!
I can sense the fear as I dive into my prey... I dont get destroyed... I dont run... If you want to survive dont catch my attention. Touch me with that blue gue and I will hunt you down. The best defense is a better offense. Ignore me and I wont even know you exist in the match.
Choose wisely, getting that first shot is easy... but if you cant get the second, you're dead. Is it worth the risk????

Yeah, I remember, but keep in mind, in PC im always trying to dodge 2-3 redline rails, 1-2 forges on top of tower, 1 forge at homepoint building, all while trying to do my job and trying to satisfy my FC with every order he gives me (no matter how impossible it sounds).
I do give you props. Few can kill me, but remember, that wasnt a 1v1. The only forger that kills me more than I kill them in 1v1 is chicagocubs4ever, Sota is right behind him, I think me and sota are evenly matched when 1v1.
I think my I still have an advantage when 2v1... but anything above that, the adrenaline begins to run.
I know a lot of corps that have been forced to create Anti-Snugglz tactics... not anti-ads, anti-snugglz. lmao. I didnt believe it when they told me. But it does make me feel like im doing something right.
As to the receiving the love topic, most it comes from PC active players who have either hired me or fought against me or both. While there are "ace" pilots out there, only a few have rarely touched Molden Heath if ever. You dont realize your true potential until you enter a match of 16 players of 1 corp fighting 16 players of another corp all in proto gear/vehicles in synergy with one another, ALL on comms. It's on a whole another level compared to pubs. Even FW feels like pubs unless you get lucky and join 2-3 q-syncing squads fighitng 2-3 other q-syncing squads.
Derpship pilots are barely starting to get the spotlight in PC. Many corps are still against it and would never put a pilot in their team to replace a slayer, logi, or another tank. I've been trying for months to show how effective they could be. Foxhound is another great pilot who is active in PC. Many corps have begun to train people in derpships for the sole purpose of having one in PC. dwater is a great example. I think he's gotten so much better simply by flying in PC compared to just pubbing it. It would have taken longer if he wasn't given that PC opportunities. He has forever replaced me as DS pilot for FA. lol. but i'll gladly give up that spot as long as another pilot is given that opportunity.

You don't run? Fool, you hit the flight ceiling before a second round can come out of my rail gun. Its actually quite amazing how fast you can click on that after burner and disappear into the sky...
Most of ADS-ing is just running away
Sigh* then how does your tank pop seconds after that rail shot???? last time I checked, my missiles cant reach the ground from the flight ceiling. lol.

If you guys are as good of pilots as you say y'all are AV shouldn't be too much a problem.. I say this because NOW I HAVE to use a PROTO forge to take you guys down and even then it's not guaranteed considering you can get out of range quickly, hardeners, etc.. Considering this account I have an ADV Forge (breach) with two complex dmg mods and it does a lot of damage for the first shot then either you fly away and I'd be wasting ammo and you now know my position.. I've even noticed on my alt if I hit a vehicle user with my IAFG they panic and use hardeners which I will be useless as they either kill me or my team then drive/fly away and get full health and repeat.. Modules on vehicles are too effect atm and needs toning down.. But even then I find it funny that if militia is all someone has just because you have a vehicle means you are invincible to them really.. to me everyone is sad and just want to be OP... /rant
Ummm... no one ever said AV was a problem. lol. I think the forge is exactly where it should be in terms of going against derpships. It's them militia rail tanks that we derpship pilots QQ about

You have gotten some recognition, its been no more than 2 weeks since I collected a 1 million isk bounty for forge gunning you out of the sky. If someone cares enough to put a bounty on you, that's recognition. That's weird, because I recently got on after about 5 weeks of being absent.. Although, it might have been a match where i decided to load dust up, got popped, and was like bleh back to GTA V. Lol but it's flattering to know I have bounties placed on me randomly without my knowledge, i like that.
You're so OP that you dont even need to log on. Your character's existence in itself spreads fear among pubs.
