My ps3 has freezed AT LEAST 10 times today, it's been doing this all the time the last y days and it's only when I play dust. It never used to do this. Wtf is going on, does anyone have any tips or advice? I really don't want you buy a new ps3. And I really hope mine didn't **** itself out :S

If you have to many custom chat channels it can cause freezing, safe number is around 7 at most.

Yeah, I'm in 6 or 7 channels, I'll see which ones I can cut. It's gotten to the point where I freeze after every battle. Hope this helps, thanks

It sucks I know, I had to cut a few extra that I really wanted to keep but couldn't because of the same issue. Soon as I got rid of them it slowed down and didn't happen nearly as often. I guess if you have a lot of really active channels it takes up to much for the game to handle.

This^ most definitely. Dust was freezing my PS3 last week. It was so bad that when I was in battle and someone would talk to me on comms, I would begin typing on my keyboard and then welp! Game froze. Power off and then file restore.
I realized had too many "loose" comm channels. I deleted several and it seemed to help a bit (even though my PS3 crashed later, I was able to get it back up and running. Seems I don't have any problems now). So I would definitely remove ones that you need the least to keep your system running smoothly. A wall of comm cubes is bad for your PS3 health.

Thank you man, I was in 11 channels and I cut them down to six, haven't dc'ed since I made this post hehehe.
Can't explain how grateful I am, I would do things to you that ccp would ban me for saying and I'm pretty sure is illegal in several states.
