Just as the title says. How will 1.8 Scouts, cloaks, static scanners, and reliance on Gallente Logi's for the best scanners affect the Planetary Conquest realm of battles?
Stealth hasn't been that big of a thing in PC due to scanners, so we will finally see some proper stealth going down. Intelligence, and Counter-Intelligence plays along with actual assassination work. Those are what come to mind for me. I never was able to get heavy into PC so I'm obviously not the best source of information here.

Minmatar will have great support value you mean?
And I'm interested in why you think the other Scouts won't stand a chance even with cloaks.
From the last stats I read back before CCP went silent on us for a while, the Gallente and Caldari seemed prime for for stealth work and low profile killings. I was thinking they'd at least make good security and breaching suits.

I'm looking for more developed answers than what you have given me. None of what I have read really says how Scout will work in PC. That's just how they'll work in pubs. I don't really wanna hear about pub gameplay because it's simple. PC at least has another way of thinking than what Pubs promote.

Nuff said.
Nah lol. Scouts are a threat now without cloaks and heavy limits compared to 1.8 scout suits. Players like Mr. Mustard, Maken Tosch, and 0uter Heaven's general membership will thrive in the better conditions. The cloaks will assist them in escaping the enemy or breaching positions. Not only that but they would damn be able to hide in plain sight with their cloaks since most people don't pick up low profiled enemies in their peripheral. Essentially, there will be a lot more ambushes going down.
Now the people who are experts of scouting will gain the tools and buffs that will at least make them a proper addition to the team.
I'm really expecting there to be more Scout squads and stories of how players "didn't see it coming."

In pub matches, I think the cloaked scout will mean the near-end of 'red-lining' the enemy. That scout is (basically) invisible so it can leave the red line and place an uplink in a strategically important area.
So in a nutshell those cloak-wearing Scouts will make everything more difficult. Just my opinion though :D
Indeed, I believe the same. I also believe that when it comes to "defending" objectives, Scouts will have more potential. In areas where MDs, Laser Rifles, and other AoD(Area of Denial) weapons great for clearing enemies, Scouts will be pretty effed but in CQC areas that have lots of places to flank(i.e. The Gallente Research Facility) Scouts can constantly be around the corner without you knowing, waiting to slash your neck off or detonate their REs or Hell these scouts could probably be right behind you tracking your movements and figuring out what your team's about to do before they strike.
**** will get hectic, I believe.

So basically you're saying they will beat the sucky players, but lose to the more experience players? And I never said scouts weren't a threat already...and I doubt they would use the cloak because it's a waste of CPU/PG lol
No. I'm saying the scouts will dominate players all over the spectrum from newbs to even the best. But whatever man, I understand it already. You don't think scouts will be much of a thing in 1.8.
