So I'm coming! 
Just wanted to know peoples experiences with the extra events. The pub crawl seems a must, but i wanted feedback from peeps about the tour of iceland or the lagoon?

I was part of the press contingent last year and I'm not sure if that tour differed from the one for gamers but we got to ride in these special tour vans made in Iceland. They are customised with HUGE wheels; Iceland makes them for various companies and the military. We went to a thermal spring of sorts and to a beach that gazed up to the north pole (you couldn't see it of course lol but there was nothing between the two landmasses IIRC). Later on there was a lil bit of off road action which was a lot of fun in these badass super vans. The Blue Lagoon was along the way...The trip to the Lagoon is awesome and you should definitely do that if you're able. It's really iconic and you can put healthy mud on your face!

Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon are great, you should do them if you can.
And as you already mentioned, the pub crawl is a must. Wouldn't be Fanfest without it.

Also going...
However, this time more for seeing Iceland then going to FF. Definitely going to stop by, but have a whole other list things to do  .
From one bunny to another Zatara, heres my advice:
1. Alcoholism is your friend
- The amount of nerdness at FF can be a bit unnerving. Therefore, I suggest a mickey of whisky or your choice at all times
2. PvP Tourny
-Need I say more
3. EvE Rants
- Probably my one of my favourite parts was getting liquored up, and getting the null players to rant and rant about serious spaceships. Telc, Wombat, and I had some good fun.
Pub crawl was meh TBH, other then that thing that happened to wombat and the Flag.

I suggest to chat with DEVs and GMs randomly as much as you can. We are a bunch of happy-crazy people, and we do love company. I will be "collecting" Dusties again to hang out with - feel free to approach me, or really anyone wearing a DEV shirt, it's all about having a good chat and having a good time. |

I of course will again be there :) it was fantastic last year but i spent a lot of the time recording dust videos. this year i intend to enjoy fanfest and iceland a litle more.

Flight, FF ticket ($150ish), 4-5 days accommodation, food/drink money + money for activities. It can be costly but it's worth it.

It isn't possible to not have fun in Iceland. If you don't, check your pulse 'cos you're clearly dead.
For 51 weeks of the year I don't drink. The other week....? I'm in Iceland.
Sobriety is not your friend. Spurn it, as one would spurn a bubonic rat. Fuel of choice is Brennivin. Embrace its pleasures and ignore what it does to the muscles in the side of your face.
Treat H+íkarl as kin to sobriety unless the Brennivin demands you to make its acquaintance. In which case prepare yourself beforehand by fishing out a 4 day old toilet block from a urinal and sucking it dry...
Speak to the Dev's both in the pub and out. They're desperate for human interaction as Hilmar has them chained to their cubicles 23 hours a day and they're sick of talking to each other...

I went to Iceland before I played eve. make sure you get lots of sandwiches at the lamb-subway type place. make sure you eat lots of hotdogs.
