So while a Minmatar suit with a CR is good, a CR and any other suit is great. I still get outgunned by people with proto CRs/lesser RRs though. It kind of sucks that other classes can utilize it more effectively via tanking/damage mods making it nerfable, and thus, by consequence, nerfing minja scouts by proxy. I predict that CCP believed the AR was the ultimate light weapon so they thought it would be too unfair to make the Plasma Cannon as competitive as the MD or Swarm Launcher. It makes sense because of the significantly lower HP ceiling that Shields offer as opposed to armor. That's why Gallente & Amarr suits are the best right now. You have both high HP, and high Damage. If you want more gank, you should have to sacrifice tank, and if you want more flank, you should have to sacrifice tank. CCP may have done this. but historically all the minmatar weapons that were GREAT got nerfed because caldari and now galente suits used them to great effect. ie. HMG, amar heavy suit in chromosome ie. flaylock + caldari logi i.e. mass drivier + caldari logi now, CR + galente and caldari assults. so, minmatar suits suck @$$, and to compensate CCp gives them strong weapons, but because anyone else can use them, they get exploited and nerfed. because CCP hates minmatar. The advance assault is my go to solo fit though minmatar suits are ~~good at flanking~~ supposed to be good at flanking. but, because they are not really faster than other suits, have lower ehp, and are easy to pick u on scanners, that never happens. For 1.8 I predict that the Amarr Scout will be a better Assault than the Minmatar Assault. Add an Enhanced Plate and Reactive Plate to an advanced scout, follow up with a complex damage mod. It's better than the Minmatar Assault.
