Heres a better lore question, if clones respawn and keep their knowledge upon death, wouldn't it be better to non-lethally incapacitate and imprison them?

If possible yes. Though I imagine part of a clone soldiers basic training covers how to commit suicide upon capture, that or manually switching consciousness's.

Personally I view it as my own burden to bear, a sacrifice I would make to serve the greater glory of God and the Empire. Secretly I hope it does not truly lock me out of paradise, but that is not for me to decide.
Now, my grandfather on the other hand, he was not quite so accepting of a member of a holder family taking this path. But, I am (was? He is still pretty angry) 5th in line of succession anyway...
