Everyone has a squad has a commander, but there needs to be one slot for a Field Commander, where he can call in rally points etc to better coordinate his squad leaders.

Would be nice if the Field Commander was a position that you could take for corporate battles without actually having to be in those battles. That way it would keep the force of 16 eMercs a constant. Coms, Field Commander orders that either override or exist separately from squad orders, and even the master control of orbitals(and in the future complete OMS and RDVs) would be a nice thing.

In my dreams, a DUST merc sets up a satellite uplink and goes to a supply depot and goes back to whatever other suit he wants, meanwhile an EVE pilot drops a satellite in orbit, and can then go and dock up, and watch the battle on his screen, (JUST LIKE IN THE TRAILER). This way all the DUST mercs can fight and the EVE pilot can give real-time intel to the guys on the ground :/
