It's unlikely you'll be boarding EVE ships in the near future, but it is likely district locking will go away soon, it is likely that the mystical NPC warbarge that has been providing orbitals in PC will go away just like it has in FW. While a lot of the match will have to do with Gun Game, having an OB every 3 minutes while the other team doesn't get one at all will probably suck for a lot of people who were so use to earning them with warpoints.
There are also several other factors that could make EVE definitely relevant. If an EVE player could purchase clones, he could probably stock his warbarge full of them. In which case where the defender usually had the advantage because they have more clones, the attacker may now have a better advantage because he may have a **** ton more clones.
Then there is the mentioned "CLONE TRANSPORT DESTROYED" before the battle even happens. The thing about this, is I predict district mechanics will change all together, you won't have to put in a 24 hour notice, you just have your eve pilot fly to the planet.
Other things that may change is the passive income crap you get from owning a district (assuming the market opens) it may actually cost isk to run a district that perhaps produces dropsuits and tanks for your own corp/alliance.
All big dreams, none of us will know until CCP Rouge shares his plans.
It is important to note that having a big EVE side is not the same as having a GOOD EVE side. RA has a lot of pilots (in the hundreds I believe) but about 4 or 5 active ones in MH. General Tso has a lot more pilots in the area, plus they have FA, RND, SVER, and others along with lots of ringer connections, combine that with their EVE Forces. Once district locking goes away and WB is replaced. I think it's safe to say they will become the planet owners in MH.

I really fear the day where PC matches get randomly canceled just cuz some eve dude blew up a clone transfer...
*fixed No! When that happens, it'll be really stupid. No competitive fights anywhere cuz eve side will just blow up clones... Completely unfun.
To be fair, it's likely the warbarge, if a capital, may be able to use cyno's, it looked huge as hell. anyway cyno will nearly guarantee that your warbarge doesn't get killed going to the battlefield without a spy in your midst telling them "HEY THEY ARE MOVING A WARBARGE"
Worse comes to worse, Capsuleers will also function like mercs. Meaning maybe you give one of your very many districts to one of my corps, and I in turn offer my transportation services/escort services/don't attempt to kill your guys being transported services. who knows :P

Last but not least, I suspect that EVE will become more involved because that's how the hardcore players want it, that's how the devs want it, all of which was mentioned at EVE VEgas and PC is suppose to be "HARDCORE MODE"
But I suspect the prime reason for all that will be CCP wants DUST players to get an EVE account to gain actual profits. As I'm sure owning all those districts and getting passive income pretty much makes it so you guys don't have to rely on aurum at all. So CCP isn't making any money off you, but they have a chance of making money off you if you get an EVE account to back up your corp. That's my theory on why CCP is slowly going that direction (doesn't mean I agree with it)
Hopefully to counter the expenses of an EVE ship estimated in the billions, and the risk, they add a shuttle launch (like in the trailer) that shouldn't cost more than 5 million isk maximum.

Then there are other things like, if you don't have a warbarge, will you have an MCC? If you have no MCC where will your tanks and dropships come from? all things to ponder. None of us will know till CCP ROUGE tells us.
Moral of the story, it won't hurt to have a few good EVE players.

WOAH, careful sir, there are diplomatic problems to making claims like that :P
Anime does not suck, try legend of the galactic heroes, it's like EVE/DUST

only ground soldiers also have axes/crossbows (due to the fact that they also have particle grenades that ignite entire hallways on fire if you shoot your laser gun)

IF EVE did matter in PC, like it really mattered a lot, like DUST became the new R64 Moons, I promise, the CFC will dominate all as they do in EVE, the gruesome reality, your districts will exist only because they allow it or they view you as insignificant. All that being said if there is gonna be any band wagons once DUST is relevant in EVE it will be everyone fleeing to Top Men. or another CFC affiliated alliance.
Though I am curious to see where those with "Connections" to Nulli and NC. go. I had a lot of people talk about Insidious Empire, even we were offered positions there when we were in PHX, but they disbanded recently.
