So basically if someone fights for the Minmatar, but the corp fights for a different faction the person's only options would be to betray their faction, or leave their corporation?
I have a better idea.
How about we implement XANDER's idea instead. That way you aren't forced to leave the corp or betray your faction, but actually have an incentive to fight with your corporation's faction.
And no, "because that's how it is in EVE" is not a valid argument. This is a First Person Shooter, while EVE Online is a Space-Simulator MMO. Because of them belonging to different genres, you cannot expect every mechanic you see in EVE to work DUST side.
Furthermore, what would be the point? This offers no statistical advantage, and would only serve to force people to either leave their corporation, or betray their faction.
Additionally, "Because EVE" won't fly when your trying to convince people to do something, especially something that would put most players at an incredible disadvantage, while only serving to benefit a few people.
TL:DR? No.

There is not FW playerbase in Dust just corps farming content from a broken system....no loyalty, no consequences, no value to your actions.
Loyalty is never something that should be referenced in New Eden.
Anyways, and what about those who do have loyalty?
I can guarantee that very few people would agree with something that forces them to either leave their corp, or betray their faction.

No offence but -1, I want to be mercanry, I would prefer bigger penalties for fighting on opposing sides sure, but not like this. You have public matches to be a mercenary in. Or PC. Leave FW to the loyalists. You mean put all the loyalists in the same corp, because individuality and choice be damned.

Aero Yassavi wrote: You aren't thinking this through very much. There are far more options than betray your faction or betray your corporation. If for instance you want to fight Gallente FW for their gear but your corp does Caldari FW, you can simply play Caldari FW with your corp and see the Gallente goods you acquire through LP in exchange for ISK that you can use to purchase the Caldari gear you want. Yes this assumes an open player market which should come eventually.
So basically I am allied with the Gallente, yet playing for the Caldari?
Please tell me how that isn't betraying my faction.
I know what the point of this idea is (to prevent Faction hopping), but there are better ways of going about this.

Aisha Ctarl wrote: I'm sure if this were implemented then several "FW Only" corps would crop up for the four factions as there are in EVE.
Say you join a corp and later you decide you want to do Min FW, you inquire to the corp and they say we aren't interested in FW - I'm sure there would be a Min FW corp to join.
So if someone wants to fight for a faction other than what their corporation is fighting for, they have to scrap everything in their corp and join a "FW Only" corp?
In what remote world does that sound plausible?

Considering how you, Aero, and Aisha left PIE at one point in time; as well as abandoning your own project (Scions of Athra), I'd be happy to do so.
If only they'd let me send mail to other alliances.

Aero Yassavi wrote: You don't have to join a "FW Only" corp, you'd have to join a corp that is aligned with the proper militia in FW. That corp can still do PC and everything else. You really shouldn't be fighting for a side in FW that your whole corporation isn't, it just doesn't make sense. If you want to fight for say Gallente to get the Gallente loyalty items but your corporation is aligned with Caldari, then fight for Caldari with your corp, sell the Caldari loyalty items, and buy the Gallente loyalty items. If you want to fight for Gallente because you like them in lore or for whatever reason then you'd already be in a corporation that is aligned for Gallente in this example.
So under this, my options would be:
1. Fight for my enemy, and purchase my allies clothing. (Which is betraying your faction)
2. Scrap everything and leave my corp for an entirely new one, regardless of position in said corp (Which is betraying your corp)
Also, I don't really see how this would change anything. Under your model, If the corp picks a faction other than mine, I would leave my corp.
So obviously my corp wouldn't mean anything, so what would stop me from corp hopping when I want to choose a different faction?

Aisha Ctarl wrote: In short, welcome to New Eden, Atiim, sorry she doesn't play by your rules.
Says Aisha, as she tries to implement rules herself
So answer the question. What would stop me from simply corp hopping when I want to change Faction?
And most importantly, how many people would actually play FW?
Really gonna enjoy those 30min que-times.
