Except for breach FG. I have been OHK before. Granted my ship is not max sp, so I can't take armor and turrets at the same time. Maybe if I was completely proto'd out I could take at least one shot, but mid level pythons are not great vs forge. Especially when there is a swarm in the same area.
But red line rails are the only prob, if I get blown away by a rail who is coordinating with other tankers and luring me down, I should get swatted. I like that I need my own tank support in order to fly with protection. It prevents total ADS spam. Just fix the whole I am on a mountain in the redline issue.

Also PC ADS is hilarious. No one pilot stays up in the air. Most will go through a couple easily. Kinda stupid if you ask me.

I've also heard of pilots going double extender for 3.2k passive tank.
Double hard and afterb is risky due to breach and unknown rails. If you always move super fast and don't have a side gunner it is more doable. The passive tank isn't bad, but hard to perform forge removal from towers.
I run heavy extender, hard, and AB. It helps fight certain forge threats better.
But I haven't flown a pure tank in a bit, I will do it later tonight.

Waves if you are max skill. Splashes if you don't have complex and cool/active abilities.

Buffing the Python is not the solution to that. Instead, something needs to be done about redline rail tanks.

Lol, of course I expected to die. What are you crazy?! I just wanted to put some perspective on it. But they still don't have to cost 500k for what they mainly get used for in PC...

My fav fit has 2550 shield, 960 armor ( I think, it's just unmodded base ) with an AB and complex Hard. I am usually pretty quick with my AB and hard to survive most rail engagements, however there are some truly amazing shots out there.

I have never bothered with hardeners though so I will give it a try for sure. To be honest, its not hard to hit a derpship. Once you are accustom to the travel time its a piece of cake hitting derps.
I normally am responsible for tower forges, so I need the hard to engage them. Most I have ever dealt with we're two forge and a swarm with links. Whew! That was heart pounding!
Yea, I run a state gunlogi. I love hitting ships, but i don't rock any dmg mods. It takes away from the challenge.
