Nope it's fine.
Hardener, hardener, extender, pg upgrade. Even a scrub like me with terrible flight skills can survive anything other than a redline rail. |

Pythons are all about the preemptive hardener. Don't get caught with it down. This is the one vehicle where waves of opportunity genuinely apply with the strength that CCP wanted them to. |

Also PC ADS is hilarious. No one pilot stays up in the air. Most will go through a couple easily. Kinda stupid if you ask me.
It's not the only viable fit- I usually go hardener hardener afterburner because it lets me dodge railguns better. I've also heard of pilots going double extender for 3.2k passive tank. |

Then you were probably getting hit with a multiple damage modded redline rail, which is a separate problem. Buffing the Python is not the solution to that. Instead, something needs to be done about redline rail tanks. |

I usually run 2 extenders and an afterburner. I take a hit and escape with the AB. I may have to try the 2 hardeners and an extender but I just dont see how you will survive rails without an AB to be honest. I will give it a try none the less.
Heh 2 hardeners + extender is my Ambush fit. No redline = rails are not really a threat provided you're paying attention and don't let one get called in without you noticing. They'll get you if there are two at opposite ends of the map, but at that point they deserve to- two rail tanks should beat a single ADS. When there's just one, you can just stay above it and harass until it explodes or the driver recalls it. That fit will shrug off forges all day- the only time infantry AV becomes a problem is multiple swarmers doing aim-disruption with a breach forge doing the work. Otherwise it's no problem to sink some missiles into the heavy. |
