in a game earlier which was flooded with heavies I saw one with a plasma cannon and one with a flaylock pistol, I know
it was his primary weapon because when I killed him he respawned and had one.

You mean it's showing us those who can't read. More heavies with light weapons just means more SP and ISK for everyone else.

I believe what you spotted was actually a Commando. Plasma cannons are a popular choice among out kind.

I saw one today using a forge gun and NK's it was hilarious, I ran at him in my scout suit he fired his FG at me and missed I got close and nearly dropped my controller laughing when he pulled out NK's lol sadly I wasn't in my NK fit so I ran circles round him with an SMG instead giggling all the time.

I'm normally a Heavy, but this week I'm running MLT Heavies with STD HMGs. My whole fitting costs 2,880 ISK. My profit for the week is going to be ridiculous and I'm already drouling over all of those free 'Boundless' HMGs.

While I have always like to forge gun, recently I have been using a HMG heavy.
A forge heavy is usually in a good place, or defending against tanks. A Hmg heavy has to move or at least find a nice area to set up shop as it were. Its a play-style that I am really not comfortable with at all.
WOW I suck as a hmg heavy lol.

I see what you mean, all I do is Forge ( Use it up close with great success, as well). When I tried to use the HMG.....it was a sad SAD afternoon... I do better with my Forge in CQC than HMG. x_O

You only get the isk/sp if you kill a heavy and the heavy is using a heavy weapon...

Try sticking near the obj. Let your kills come to you. As you get more comfortable with the HMG go on little strolls near the obj. Soon you will learn the ranges, will get more confidence as you slaughter whole squads, and before you know it you'll be a HMG bittervet.

LAV's and supply depots. They are responsible for my success as a heavy.

Not true at all. You get SP and ISK for killing a heavy suit, no matter what it's armed with.
