Have slots for boots, gloves,helmet,upper/lower suit,etc.,this would allow for further tweeking and more variation. Can skill up and build more unique fittings. |

Why would you want that? This is a military game...and in any military (standing) there are uniforms. Keeps us together. Makes everyone equal. Uniforms take away the sense of individuality, so that the whole will work better. No individuality allowed. It will detract from our readiness.
Now, if you were talking about how the clone looked without his armour on, then that would be a different story, as it stands though, I feel that making a customizable character in armour to be pointless in this game. We did not join to look pretty, but if you indeed do want to look pretty, get in a Quafe Suit.  |

Visual differences are already a part of Dust (Race,suit level,special pack fittings), I was thinking more along the lines of added attributes for skilling up a particular piece of amour allowing for more variation that way.Traditional games may allow you to sprint faster with better type boots,or more stamina, stealth, etc., this would open a much larger market,skill tree,that would then help a merc become truly unique.Helmets could have increased scan, amour,scope, etc.,it is not a new concept but one that could open up a mercs possiblities. In Eve is there not a lot of ways to fit a ship compared how you can fit a drop suit. |

We are mercs, we can do anything with our armor, think of it like skyrim, all guards wear full matching armor but i can wear light chestpiece with heavy gloves, fur boots and a crown
