Rodger will do.
If anyone has the other FW combat packs I would appreciate the pictures here as well, either for comparison, or as an example of the oddities we see in the content packs.

That's quite disappointing. The only reason I'd really buy these packs would be for the cosmetics.

I saw a picture of the Gallente version earlier but I cant remember what thread it was in. It was a low quality picture but it looked like the proto basic medium in that it was pretty much all black but it has some white patches.

I have the back and front views of them.
In order they are the Ak.0, the A/1, and finally in comparison the Templar Sentinel.....which for those of you who own them or have seen them on the battlefield know that the golden colour scheme is down pat.
Now my camera is not all that good, but the actual colour of the A/1 is a drab green/yellow colour, which by comparison does not resemble the Gold of the Templar Suit at all.
So due to my cameras poor quality compare the Sentinel Armour plating scheme with the A/1 and you will see that colours do not align even slightly.

I paid real money for the Burnscar because I liked the idea of the Ruby-gold Scrambler Pistol (even though EVE-wise, that's more of a Carthum color-scheme). However, the gun no longer has any special texture/color. A gun whose only purpose was literally being a different color... looks no different. It's not even sold anymore either. I made bug threads... I assume off-market goods are low priority though.
I sure hope the Amarr vehicles are a rhapsody of golden curves when we finally get them. The Amarr vehicles in EVE are the sexiest thing ever, and it would be sad to not have that.
I disagree. It's not minor, is a major thing. It's the defining feature of their business strategy. If the game isn't pay to win (it shouldn't) then the only reason to spend money on micro transactions is for cosmetic purposes. If they can't get that right then their business model is fatally flawed. How can they expect income if their cosmetic differences are less pleasing than the basic stuff in game. We games are a vain lot, and will spend hard earned cash for the simplest of visual differences....provided they're appealing to the eye! Not these vomit green smgs, Orange drop suits and "ruby gold" pistols that are indistinguishable from the AUR version... this is a major issue and should be treated as such! |

Bumping. A simple Dev answer even several words long would suffice to tell me whether or not I will be supporting Dust 5`4 financially in the future.
As it stands I personally feel very dissatisfied with the Amarr colour schemes, and as a proud players of Dust, and an Amarr loyalist, I was happy to have bought the packs to support CCP.
However this poor quality effort is what is giving me such misgivings. If the developers cannot adequately colour the dropsuits of the racial groups they created with visually appealing and appropriate colours they are failing to meet their basic obligations to fans and collectors.

I feel this is very much more eloquent explaination.
Yes this is a very minor aspect to gripe about, but IMO its the little thing, the little bits of effort that go into something that often show how much a group producing a product cares about their work.
For example when I worked for an electrician/ handiman installing fencing for residential properties he would import from the US the same colour paints and laquers as original fencing. This ensure that even if a section of fencing was scratched or knocked over during installation we could cover the damage and make it look as new, even if scratches were a minor as a kid driving his Tonka into the fence he would ensure that the fence looked aesthetically please, and as what the client paid for.
As a result this drummed up plenty of repeat business and word of mouth reccommendations.
What CCP has failed to do is look at the small picture. They saw the big picture, racial FW combat packs with good content in it......but failed to look at the smaller aspects like appearance and design, the essential reasons that players would pay real money for their content over simply using ISK.

Again I have not forgotten about this and am requesting some sort of Dev response.
Really how hard is it to look at a short thread like this and answer the question.
Who was it that thought this would be acceptable quality when I know that your technical capacity extends to acceptable Gold shades for dropsuits.

Blue Caldari or Red Minmatar?
I bought the Minmatar one, the Republic assaults are indeed red, well a shade of red it changes colour depending on how much light is hitting the suit. Kinda goes from a blood red in the shade to almost bright pink if i stand next to the market place screen I can atleast say that they aren't just some sh!tty reskins where they took a neo suit and put a bit of red on it, they are actually red Assault suits. The M/1 is like the usual mk.0 but all the black is red and the mk.0 is a black suit with diffferent shades of red for all the armour/hadware.
Overall i am pretty happy with the way they turned out i just wish they had republic logistic suits in the pack aswell, but the standard ones will have to do.

Not only was the content released missing the Gold, mentioned, and promised in the blurb, not present in the content that I paid for. This being my primary concern.
But additionally I only served to make me concerned that barely put any effort into the content release as small as it maybe, and as simple as that would have been to incorporate.
This serves as a good TL:DR for anyone that doesn't want to read the whole thing. You make good points in wanting what is advertised; color schemes should be as advertised. Submit a ticket I think under marketing if it exists; I vaguely remember seeing a marketing tab. This will let them know they are doing, even if by mistake, false advertising, and that they have to fix it.

Now i am not tech savvy at all so these are probably still sideways but atleast you get to see it, they are both the same red its just differing amounts of light on them, these are the M/1 and the mk.0.
