Birth status decides your life without any actual merit. Why does the child born of a slave need the "education" of slavery, yet a child born of a free family does not? If slavery was such a great teaching tool, why doesn't all Amarr citizens have to go through it? You could say regular citizens which are born and raised in the culture take in the ideals of the Empire without the need for slavery, but so could a child of a slave if raised the same way; so why not simply raise that child as you would any free Amarr?
