Please check this out CCP. I don't know if this is the right place for it, but something has to be done about the guys who disappear into walls, rubberbanding back and forth, and guys not taking dmg and then ending up behind you. Please check that battle. Thank you

Considering this is Dust we are talking about, I would probably bet its the game doing this and not someone using a lag switch.
I have had it happen numerous times where a guy is firing at me and I seem to be taking no damage and then it hits me all at once. I agree with Jenova that its probably latency.. you see a ton of it with the Brazilian players as well.

I truly do hope it is latency, but I've seen the way lag switches work in a number of fps's. The results are the same, and very identifiable. You don't go from 8 clean battles to all of a sudden guys are running in mid air?! Again I hope it is the game, but alot of lag switch users try to mask their activities with server lag or latency excuses. They know they can just blame CCP since we're all ticked off with CCP anyway. I would agree with you guys if I hadn't saw what I saw, and the reason I name him in particular is because it happened in and around him and nowhere else. Where ever he was it was. Multiple teammates in groups of two and three couldn't kill a logi? Again, I hope your right, but I fear it's not the case.

This needs to be addressed, you can expect cheaters in every game if they found a way to do it in CoD or BF they can and will do it in dust.

I was que syncing with my corp and we were on opposite sides. My corp mates said that Nyain San members had boasted in team chat about how they were using lag switches and were going to stomp the opposite side. I am not directly quoting. I believe someone took a picture. I hope they post it. |

I was accused of using one however there was no noticeable lag on my end nor anything out of the ordinary. What's it like? Is it that crap where your whole squad just gets that time freeze glitch at the same time but comms still sound fine? I've had a match against SALUKI + Mottaini + AOD where that happened and if everyone else seems to report similar issues with the same people.....

Dust isn't like most FPS you would've played. The average FPS uses a peer-to-peer connection, and lag switching is something that gives a host an advantage delaying info sent. Dust matches are all hosted CCP's side, and all the hit detection takes place on their serves. I don't believe a lag switch would actually help anyone. For example, you cut your connection (to lag switch), but you're not the host so you'd stop moving on the host-side (CCP) and just die more easily when the packets got sent to you after you reconnected.
Dren and Templar equipment stats, wrong since release.
