Just curious...
I barely see Skirmish in the Squad Finder,and always with a "/ Dom" next to it.
Can anyone explain why most squads stick to Ambush and Domination??
What's so interesting about those?

Skirmish takes too long and too chancy for protostomp KDR padding, money grinding tryhards.

Its easier to murder than in skirmish. I like skirmish, but the ISK payout for the time played for the other mods is not worth it IMO.

Ambush is mostly because the games are shorter and therefore easier to make an ISK profit on.
Doms tend to be the longest so many of those trying to gather as many WPs as possible (in order to speed up SP capping) will be there.
Skirmish is between the 2, longer and more clones, so more likely to get too many deaths to make an isk profit in high tier gear and yet both more spread out and shorter so there is less WP whoring potential.

I play Skirmish because I think the enemy is less likely to quit as soon as they normally do in Doms.

When I play solo scout, I usually play Skirmish. It's pretty easy to hold down an outside point by yourself, and the city points are fun too since enemies aren't as densely packed as they are in doms. |

I run solo bush or dom most of the time. Skirm you can't get as many kills because they are all spread out between the letters.
With Dom, everyone goes to one spot, so it's easy to flank as a scout and get lots of kills.
Ambush is the best mode... When there isn't 6 tanks in every other game

Reason for playing game mods:
Domination: Everything is right there so no searching for that next target.
Ambush: It's short, full of proto stompers in tanks and easy money... for proto stomping rail tanks.
Skirmish: A scouts heaven.

I play skirm when I want to scout. Skirmish is generally too reliant on your blueberry team- I can assault points and solo cap them, but if my team can't hold the rest of the map we lose regardless of how hard I work. I would imagine that a squad feels the same way- if your 10 teammates can't hold at least 1-2 points, all your squad's hard work is for nothing.
Otherwise, Dom, it's easiest for WP farming and a good match pays 300k, great matches pay 500k. I can have the most effect on the success of the team overall in a Dom match. Plus it's the best for the heavy event- HMG kills are by far the easiest to get when defending the Dom objective. |

I try to play skirmish, but find it often takes 2-5 minutes for the system to find a match. And often times when I do get one, I'm dropped into a match that's almost over onto the losing team.0

Sniper, but from near the opponent's redline more often than not.

I ONLY play dom for reasons already stated above. I'll NEVER play FW. I don't work for free! Domination is so much easier to control. Spam links/ammo, good to go.
The BEST battles are on dom.

I play skirmish the most, domination is harrsh for scouuts, so much random gunfire that magically hitsyou from 182m and still does epic damage(RR pussies).
Ambush.... lol we designated that area for those with IQs of 4 and under, or to be more politically correct for the severely r3arded
