All I really have to say is if you add cloaking but take my sidearm away I will be screwed, as a scout the sidearm is part of the 2 hit combo I run, I use a shield piercing main weapon than an SMG to finish them, or I use an armor piercing light weapon and a scrambler pistol to take off there shields first, scouts are super thin and we need tactics and patience and removing the sidearm would make me instantly revert back to assault because scouts would become useless very fast, I normally hit them with 1 hit of the shotty to get rid of shield then use my SMG for the finisher and removing that would mean if someone sees a scout with a shotgun they could walk up to it and only about 10M away they would be safe.
All I am saying is I loved the beta scout AND the alpha scout you can add both you know right? A beta and alpha scout? Alpha has the sidearm and I equipment and beta other has 2 equipment, you remember those don't you CCP? Then scouts can fulfill different roles of offensive and recon along with sniper and logi being able to put a nano hive and uplink near enough to them so they don't have to run far across open field...
All I am saying is that if you are going to strip a sidearm do it to one of the new scouts so the old ones aren't affected by it. Just imagine some poor scout with knives... And with backpeddaling speed and range for all scout CQC weapons so bad all people have to do is walk backwards where are shotty doesn't reach while they light is up.
Since caldari is an optimal combat scout and sniper then strip it's sidearm... And give it equipment then it's 300 shields won't mean to much when they regen so fast, I don't know I am not hating yet just please don't take my gallente sidearm away!!! That's the reason I do so well, basically F*** cloaking if I can't have my sidearm.

Thank you my friend I can never seem to find these though, but as long as my sidearm is still there I can run scouts as they are now I just heard many rumors of my sidearm going away.

Okay my lifestyle will not change I will probably just run what I have now and try cloaks as long as my sexy sidearms don't go away, all the new sidearms have a charge up time kinda weird I was looking forward to the ion pistol a bit more before I saw what it's spreadsheet was, I never though of gallente plasma weapons as a charge weapons I know it needs to heat up but the ion pistol sounds interesting.
I like the idea of a magsec though with my shotty I can dominate medium-short range, thank you though maken tosch, I have been in dust a long time but I was never good at finding update information.
