1. Can be used in areas where no one can kill them, such as behind the red line on top of a mountain without using the same weapon or the proto version, which is a heavy inbalance. (Same arguement about rail tanks, but that's for another person to argue. (To counter the sniper in the red zone, the sniper in question must expose himself to the middle of the map typically which also means a possible death, where as the red line sniper with the officer weapon does not have this disadvantage)
Can be countered. I do it daily.Most Thales snipers are **** and have no idea about positioning.
2. This weapon can 1 hit kill many of the suits in the game and again their is no recourse unless you are using the proto or officer weapon in return.
I kill them with my ADV rifle usually. They are also not the only weapon that can OHK.
3. Scanning can not adequetly locate the sniper (max scanning range goes up to roughly 100m officer sniper rifles easily out range this), especially if the sniper is behind the red line, which makes locating a sniper beyond reasonably difficult.
Scanning is not designed to find EVERYONE, to base an argument around scanning is pathetic...get gud
Would you like my scout removed from pub matches also, I can OHK players and avoid scanners
4. Charged Sniper Rifles have a high and low to the damage they deliver, the officer version does not it is pure damage at the high end. It will 1 shot kill most the suits in the game including many of the advanced level suits, which is beyond what a new player should be expected to have.
I don't understand what the arguement here is?
5. People just starting the game are not going to understand why they are just dead in 1 shot constantly.
If a player see the word SNIPER RIFLE they will probably understand it, they are probably more confused at the damage output of the Boundless combat rifle to be honest
6. No other officer weapon can kill with such impunity as the officer sniper rifle can. Even the officer forge or plasma cannon you have to least be in the match area on most maps in order to be effective, the officer sniper rifle does not have this limitation. (Also try hitting an infintry man with a forge gun from 300m-400m away if you can do it consistently awesome for you I bow to your godly shots)
Yes it is a sniper and can use range, a balacs GAR destroys...no OBLITORATES heavy suits in a split second, there is no no officer plasma cannon... Cala's, wolfman's, gastun's all do great damage considering you need to have proficiency 3 to use all.
They are not godlike creatures weilding these items, bout time players quit getting killed then coming here to gripe about the weapon, man up and go kill the ****** who killed you.
Nearly every match I'm in where the enemy has a Thales sniper, I kill them. Maybe you should stay out of pub matches.
