Just a thought. In real world sneaking behind enemy lines and doing anything is considered hard core. It would be great if we could get a ton of sp or some type of reward for hacking things in the warning zone nearest the hostile mcc, like the supply depots, cru's and torrents. I call it putting my signature on maps. I'm not saying I'm the ultimate merc by any means but it was just an idea.

I like killing enemy snipers from behind with a pistol or SMG.
At least some are brave enough to sit outside the redzone.
Our safe redzone should be shaded green for us and give no WP to us. You want WP get it in the War Zone. Stay in the safe zone and just gather passive SP. |

Most of the time, the " behind the lines" hacks are the easiest ones to get since the enemy is trying to hold or take the middle objectives. They are also the most satisfying because the enemy is like "wtf". Hacking them can sometimes change the tide in a close battle or make a romp a little closer for comfort.

I'm getting the distinct impression from the forums that people don't like any kind of gameplay that doesn't involve standing in a line with logis/hives behind them, firing at each other until one side are all dead.
Half expecting mail one of these days saying
'omfg scrub, we were all fighting at Bravo, but you hacked every other point like a ******* ***** - get good scrub' - this would be from either my own blues or the reds.
You probably don't know me. But next time you get gunned down or exploded by a Valor scout...check the name.

supposedly if you hack a supply depot behind enemy lines you can switch suits to avoid the countdown

They fixed that.
Then it was broken again. (like all those other bugs that come back from time to time).
Then they fixed it again.
Sometimes there is nothing else to do.
I also like to hack enemy installations in the redline for fun. |

Only an idiot would send that. Love cqc but sometimes it's not necessary to find out who has the biggest HMG to win. As a random, most squads don't want you near the the same objective as them. Lots of times, kept banging head against the wall and wasting time and resouces trying to get one objective( B on most maps). Kind of dumb when there are other objectives that are not as much as a killbox and ripe for the taking.

I could be wrong, but I think the OP was talking about hacking stuff inside the enemy Red Line. I have done that a few times. It is really hard to get the hack off and get back out before you time out though.

Your point?
J/K
Seriously though, I agree with what you are saying - and frankly I think new solo players should take heed of it.
Think of outside points as hi-sec space and the place where all the tanks and heavy/logi trains are at as nul-sec.

reminds me of yesterdays match when i played as my heavy while solo. i just guarded objective c for the enter match and went 21/1. with my mlt heavy and std hmg. i did some suit changing with the supply depot. switching back an forth from std sentinal to mlt heavy. but that was mostly to get a quick reload on my gun.
its rather odd to be guarding one objective closest to your own redzone and some how get more wp and kills than any1 else on your team. |

I spent one match running around hacking the three outer objectives one match in a light suit acting like a scout. Somebody from the other team must have been doing the same thing because as soon as i'd leave they would get rehacked. Sometimes i would wait hoping to surprise them but they must have had the same idea at the same time because i never saw them. I must have done 10 objective hacks that night and only saw a couple of reddots the entire game.
Because, that's why.

Can't tell you how many times I pulled this off. There was an instillation that was too far to run to and hack but a corpmate was a scout and decided to help me with the hack. Funny thing is that he was a M-scout but I was the one to make it out alive lol gotta love cardiacs.

Love me some bonus wp for hacking red in redline, but then again i would love more wp for some other things too.
5wp per team mate spawn off of hacked CRU. 5wp per kill off of hacked turret. 5wp per resupply from hacked depot.
Only while it was your hack. If it goes red then is rehacked, rehacker gains the points. No extras for killing redline campers, onced redlined its hard for a team to break out. Choking them of points would only hurt.
I like the tone of this thread. "Give me some love, cause i work the back end pretty damn hard!" |
