Okay I know I'm completely opening myself op to trolling and flaming here but I felt the need to say something.
I see so much negativity on these forums everyone has something mean to say or just blames everyone else (ex you suck, get gud, scrub)... these things don't help the player base and just perpetuate the stereo type that FPS players are a bunch of juvenile pricks.
So I guess what I'm asking for is to see a little bit more in the way of positivity, and polite conversation on the forums or just for people to add something positive on the end of a post.
It is better to be thought an idiot, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

No idea on my guns right now. Getting majority to level 3 at least, then deciding.

Problem is that it's much easier to go "******* thing sucks!" compared to "This particular thing is performing at a sub-standard level, I wonder what sort of feasible improvements I can suggest.". |

Can count on me to be a force multiplier of positivity and optimism (despite the odd light hearted troll now and then  ). I'm immune to bitterness/jadedness/negativityness that prevails here.
Yeah the game needs work. In an ideal world, instead of vomiting the same old boohoo CCP sucks, DUST sucks, everything sucks dross that litters this place, people would offer well thought out and constructive feedback. Unfortunately even with F2P there is a price to pay...and that price is zero admission fee leading to all sorts of rable in here. 
There are actually heaps of really switched on and cool people who provide a lot of useful contributions that really have helped the game but you just have to wade through the debby downer spam.

I'm glad to have a few people with me trying to make things a little bit happier in the forums 
I just dont understand why people need to complain all the time yet they are still playing and still on the fourms so they must be getting something out of it right?
a tip people start with that for example "I love Dust and still have fun playing it but "insert issue here" has begun to effect my play experience in a negative way" sounds way better then "CCP sucks and so does this game"

I always start my posts in a thread by being polite. But often someone will call me a noob or something for no apparent reason, and it escalates from there. Next thing I know I'm quoting their scrubby KDR at them and telling them what their mum got up to last night. I'm afraid that's just how it is on the forums. |

People would be more positive if CCP would update the game instead of taking months off for holidays. People would be more positive if CCP hired someone other than braindead, crack addled monkeys to balance dust. People would be happy if we had even half the **** we've been shown.

It's the mob mentality. The fact you yourself were expecting to be trolled for your OP shows that being negative and jaded is 'in fashion' here which is really unfortunate. These people lack empathy and I wonder how much these black holes would like someone constantly pissing on them at their job, saying how **** they are working, how useless they are and how they're destined to fail. CCP employees are doing a job just like you and I do and are people too. No one really thinks about this though, they don't put the shoe on the other foot and consider how they would like to be treated or the kind of atmosphere they'd like.
People complain that devs don't come here and you know what, I don't really blame more of the devs for not frequenting this cesspit TBH. I wouldn't want to.

You are completely right how awful must it be to be told by everyone that you suck at your job and should just quit and die? I mean really people? most of us have no idea whats involved in developing, designing, and maintaining a game like this.. I know a few people out in the community think they do but how many games have they worked on where the team was connecting two different games cross platform in real time?
take a breath people and smile more 
I agree that CCP should be more forthcoming with what they are doing even if it doesn't lead somewhere or they hit a dead end it would make a fair chunk of the player base happy to see the shear volume of work you guys must be doing.
