Whether it will be coming soon or not, many people are currently anticipating the release of the Player Market for Dust. Some people are simply guessing as to when it will come or how it will be, while others have gone so far as to organize "pre-orders". Anyway, EVE Vegas happened last October, where during the Dust portion they described things that were going to be implemented soon. http://dust514.info/2013/10/21/eve-vegas-news/ has a good summary of the things mentioned.

^^^ Cool stuff, but was mentioned after all of the preceding information, which means likely several more months.
My conclusions? Player market in 1.8/1.9, PC 2.0 several months after, then PVE after that.

The closer we get to 1.8 the more I think that the player market may have been snuck into it. I think they may have almost had it ready for 1.7, but pulled it.
Ninja P2P Market implementation?
Skeptical, but vaguely optimistic.

Whenever they do release the Player Market, I'm sure they'll release a dev blog beforehand.
The reason I think they may include the market in this update is because unlike the new weapons/equipment/suits, it doesn't really need a whole lot of community input on the stats. They already have a working player market in EVE. Also, the team that would be working on the market is entirely separate from the team working on the new content already announced. 1.8 is 2 months overdue as well.

I would bet ISK for release in 1.9 for the player market.
Though CCP has surprised me before, and I wouldn't mark 1.8 as out of the question.
Honestly I think they're working on it, but even they aren't sure whether it'll be in for 1.8 at this stage. |

I'd add that it's probably likely that we'll be seeing the Caldari map set that was held back from 1.7. Other than that, great compilation of things to look forward to. Though I'm not expecting much on the vehicle front I hope new turrets / vehicle variations aren't too far off.

I hope so, but then a massive overhaul of the BPO system will take place.
BPO's will either have to be removed entirely, or extensively reworked in a way that introduces both Industry , and requires BPO's for Industry.
We all saw what happened the last time BPO's were removed.
And you time frame does give enough time for that system to be made, considering when P2P Market was announced

Nope. Not that I recall. They talked about PvE in the CCP Presents keynote which was about the future vision.

At last years fanfest, the outlined the stages of progress before the player market would be coming, one of those things being taxed tranfers from Eve.
Unless that plan has changed, then we are nowhere near a market.
Think 18-24 months.

Let me keep my Dren BPO's and nobody gets hurt . Seriously I hope I will be able to replicate these items and sell them, the sold items will not be BPO's but disposables. I will sell them for cheap but it will make a great ISK generator. Also if we do get a RESPEC I will be selling everything that is not heavy related. I am now 85% heavy, the reason I am not at 100% is due to my love of speed with my scout. So lets hope for PvE, Respec, and all racial suit release in 1.8.

I'm not going to re-watch something I've already seen just to give you information you already have. If this isn't enough to convince you of a player market coming soon then no video clip will be able to do any better.
Also, they do mention how the LP Store was made in preparation for the player market.
