It is not designed to be the typical Slayer weapon most players rely on.... It deals high damage to all suits, 98% OHK with prof.5 (Stack heavy's barely survive) Vehicles it can under-perform due to hardeners and reps between shots
But as far as I can recall the in-game description states that It is meant for anti-infantry suppression, which it performs perfectly Unlike some weapons, it is working as stated .... To buff it would create another FoTm and eventually be nerfed
The only realistic additions I can see are keeping the PLC And introducing variants, which I have though a lot about - Breach Variant, same old breach, slow but deadly (1500-2000DMG)?? - Assault Variant, this is trickier as you need to avoid spam fire but I would highly recommend that they use the idea of lasting burning DMG with less direct hit DMG
^^ If you don't see the potential in specialist AV with this then I can't help you

I have used this weapon since it's release, and people who have gamed with me have seen how it can dominate infantry when used effectively in a squad, also they have seen the many occasions where the weapon is in-effective But the flaws are required to balance the DMG from Plasma Cannons The difficulty of judging trajectory, enemy movement and using cover effectively during reload times and re-stocking, or when there is no way in hell your taking down 5 pimped out AR's X
Anyone looking for a buff is just asking for a crutch to spec into I appreciate the other posters who have realized the potential with PLC
Plasma Cannon will have its chance if AR/HAV 514 is ever fixed

CCP has stated that its intended role is supposed to be anti-vehicle and that they don't want it to be too effective against infantry, which it isn't already (at most, a blast radius or splash dmg adjustments) . Also, why are you going off the weapons description? Don't you know how inconsistent those things are?
The PC and SL should fit into the Sidearm slot so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

I halfway agree with you.
The people that are asking for a larger magazine, and bigger splash radius, just want it to be easy enough for them to use. They don't realize that it was designed as a skillshot weapon. They don't want to stand up to the challenge of the Plasma Cannon, they just want the challenge to become smaller so they don't have to.
However, CCP did state that the Plasma Cannon's main role was an Anti Vehicular one, and currently, it cannot adequately perform its intended role. It need a buff. The simplest and best solution to this problem would be to just increase its direct damage to about 2200 rather than 1100. A change like this would have negligible effects on its anti infantry use, but make it viable against Vehicles.
Totally not Fizzer94's forum alt. Definitely just a random dude.

As I said, if CCP introduce variants then that fixes PLC AV

- Assault, usually these are faster versions but I would make exception with PLC And have the Assault deal less direct hit DMG but causes lasting DMG to targets so basically the burning effect we have seen posted on forum
This way the Assault would stop vehicles from repping between shots And would make the PLC perform perfectly in AV...
We get the regular (Infantry SUPPRESION) Not infantry slaying... It works perfectly in holding any infantry back from desired target
The Breach, basically an Orbital Cannon
The Assault, faster fire with the bonus of delaying vehicle reps
I have also though a lot since 1.7 on if it should ignore hardeners on vehicles And that is something that could be looked at, it is really tough to get CQC with HAV Just to have to endure 60 seconds of hardener until it's worth firing... By which time the HAV has repped, and cycled through hardeners so there is no hope
Anyone seeking a slayer weapon should stick to DMG Modded AR variants
Plasma Cannon will have its chance if AR/HAV 514 is ever fixed

all i want is a slighlty faster projectile travel time....seriously....do you know how hard it is to lead a speeding tank?
i run a SL and PLC commando AV fit and its awesome, however the PLC still pails in comparison to my SL when it comes to vehicles more than 15m away.
it goes something like this:
me: look a tank *shoots PLC*
Tank: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha a PLC *moves to the side ever so slightly*
*PLC shot misses*
it should be:
me: look a tank *shoots PLC*
Tank: o jeez a plasma cannon *starts to move*
*PLC shot drills the tank*
Scout- "I'm going to knife you my commando!!!"
commando turns around
Commando- "FAAAAALCCCOOONNNNN PUUUUNNNCCCCHH!!"
