The assault dropship is for serious pilots who are willing to invest in piloting and the ship. Also a mlt version would be pretty useless.

Only good people can use them good Its like that game that nerfed something becuase really skilled players used it well and bad ones couldnt And a militia missile vs a militia blaster is.....very noticible 2 exiles assault rifles, Skinweave caldari frame, Staff recruiter mlt frame, Templar set Caldari Master Race

It would give new players a chance to decide if they actually LIKE the ADS/handling and whether or not they want to skill into it. MLT dropships drop like stones when they get looked at by good/decent forgeguns and MLT railguns. Nothing about the suggested slot layout would make it anything close to what the MLT HAV's are right now. I can see the Infantry scrambling in terror about the thought of MLT missiles on an ADS, but again. AV works on dropships. It's -not- working very well against tanks. A mil ADS would either be useless for those that have not yet got the hang of flying and a cheap, easy, no sp spamfest for those that do learn to fly them. Put a range damage drop off on rail tanks and turrets so they can't hit from 500+ meters at full power. Forge guns and swarms kill ADSs all the time. Rail tanks are not the only counter. Stop perpetuating BS against the inevitable nerf. We can pickle that.
