this is designed around flux grenades but does no damage to shields. instead it kicks out a massive wave of energy that disables enemy equipment and resets all enemy sensors in the blast range (wipes active scanner results).
i picture this as vehicle mounted (skill bonus when used with lav). cpu/pg should reflect use on top level lavs.
destroy equipment :
this model does 3 pulses over 1.5 secs at 0.5 sec intervals out to 50/70/90m with a recharge time of 60secs. each pulse goes further than the other. the first pulse will do 250 damage to all equipment in 50m, the second 150 damage to all equipment at 70m, the third 100 damage at 90m. this is stackable damage so the closer equipment gets a higher damage and destroyed while the furthest sustains less.
this can be used to clear up objective spam so that the squad/team can assault.
reset scanners:
this device also wipes the last available scan result from active scanner of enemy units. it does this out to the max blast range. you will be affected in all 3 pulses.
this could be the reason to use top end lav's instead of bpo/cheap ones

this could be the reason to use top end lav's instead of bpo/cheap ones[/q would be cool to see this as a weapon for EVE pilots too

I'd have preferred it as just a deployable equipment for infantry. Possibly with a remote variant.

that would just be more equipment added to the spam. besides why use a deployable piece of equipment when a flux would likely cover the same distance needed in order to keep the thing balanced. my version gives players a reason to skill into lav's rather than use free or cheap ones and doesn't add to all the deployable equipment spam we have

This sounds very powerful for a module, but as long as it can only fit on a high-level LAV we should have no problem with it.

Huh, this would be a counter scout AND a count logi tool. Well if this is implemented then I will diffidently start skilling into it. I can see myself performing sweeps with this.
Request: No effect on proxy mines (REs can still take damage). This will grant some value in the proxy's and provide a better counter to this as we don't want murder taxi's to be on the rise again. Placing RE's next to proxies would just result in all mines being whipped out by the pulses so it would allow LAV's and Tanks to work together again.

park above the resupply lag bomb on the large city map on domination and set this baby of and lag bomb neutralised.... on the other hand like someone said if proxi is immune which to me sounds acceptable then those roads are going to be mined meaning squad support to get the lav in.
i also was thinking it should be a charge up then pulse so as to make it an invested effort in using it rather than a fly by use. you find your spot. activate module and it spools up over say 5 - 10 secs, maybe some sort of glowing effect. this give a small chance for enemy to counter it by destroying it. so to use it would mean to have support so in other words use up your spare seats to carry guys.

Make it another version of an orbital strike, wipes out shields, screws with sensors (no crosshairs, very limited HUD info), puts all active modules on cooldown and slows down vehicles, maybe slows down suits a bit for a few seconds, all over a huge area and through walls.

i dont think it would work at all. firstly why share kills and wp with what you suggested when you can get kills and still destroy most of the equipment. not to mention it would require the guys in orbit to carry ammo which wont get them any kills which for eve thats the main drive for everything pvp. more kills. also this would require more coordination on the ground between the team to make good use of it which for the most part we lack.
this also take it out of the hand of the mercs or puts it only in the hands of the few who can earn an orbital. how do the noobs clear out a heavily spammed area if they are being stomped if they cant get an orbital. for the most part stomping happens from heavy spammed areas in which they can group and move out together. so having it as an orb just limits its use to the better killers and spammers.
my suggestion means investment in skills and isk to counter enemy spam which is farming them wp to earn orbitals and not farming spam wp to earn an emp orbital to drop on the odd piece of equipment because you are already stomping the enemy.
