What about a Tactical Shield that could take a Light Weapon Slot?
There could be many versions:
a "Shield" one (weak armored device that produce front shielding)
an "Armor" one (a slab of armored material)
a cloaking one (hides what behind from view but offers no protection)
It would induce some interesting maneuvers and gameplay.

You mean like an actual shield? Not just a bubble shield device?
I kinda wanted to see this in action but idk how well we could implement it into the balance.
I guess the shield one could offer high mobility but at the expense of a high CPU and PG cost. Once it breaks, it takes a long while for it to repair and be ready for use.
The armor one would be bulkier and have a speed penalty based on it's meta level(Standard would weigh less than Proto) but it would have damn no CPU and some PG. For balancing sake, once it's HP drops to 0 it becomes ineffective and needs an armor repair or armor-repairing nanohive.
Not too sure on the cloak shield since cloaks are coming in.

Yep, it would be an actual handheld shield.
The shield would be lost if destroyed.
The cloak is a module and cloaks you entirely. The Cloak Shield would be like a Light Weapon and conceals you only to what's in front of you.
