How many of you actually use Plasma Cannons? I haven't seen one in killfeed for a while.

Not all the time though, only when the mood strikes me. Particularly fun in Domination maps for some reason.

A few ways to get kills
Practice that arc and distance
Also stealth kills are funny sneak up on people like you would with a SG or NK and BOOMGǪ just leave more distance so you don't splash kill yourself

I use them, but you'll rarely see me in the kill feed with it. I mostly use it to chase off tanks and the occasional LAV. I can't pump out enough DPS to pop them but I can at least make them reconsider sticking around. |

Yup that exactly what I try and unfortunately achieve. I sometimes miss people who strafe a bit while hacking....
I think I have a better chance of becoming a world famous country and western singer than mastering that thing...
It's just...such a bad weapon, it demands to be used!
Reloading after a kill shot has this amazing sense of closure to it:..

No, for the Amaar commando. It's useless (still fun) otherwise.
I currently have it Operations 5 Proficiency 4 and have all other skills 2-4.

I use it on my glass tank buster Gallente basic light frame quite frequently.
Other than sticking out like giraffe in field with that paper white suit, its pretty decent to get kills with.
Also really cheap too.  |

i like running them but i dont like having to rely on a sidearm to finish. since i only have basic i run them on a logi suit or light suit with no sidearm
i cant stand people that miss and switch to an smg. |

Pretty regularly, get reload skill to V and you can pump out a lot of plasma. All round useful, from Infantry to LAV's, tanks and even downed a number of drop ships. Landing a hard shot even if it only dings a HAV is always rewarding in it's own right. My "expensive" fit is on an amarr logi for the sidearm but most of the time I just run a cheaper sever suit just to force me to be better with it.
CCP your matchmaking is better but still sucks a fair amount

I get a lot of assists with them but few kills. When I do it is when someone is coming through a door. They are hard to aim but work great on shields

Scout suits are cheaper.
Also, I rarely run them anymore. Trying to get better with Knives, but it's kinda difficult with advanced and all these heavies. |

When I feel like not trying. I remember one time when there were 5 PLC wielders camping a CRU... I didn't hack it because it was hilarious seeing so many balls of plasma hit those unfortunate souls who spawned in. xD
What I need to blow up a tank: some REs, a couple Flux 'Nades, and... a Flaylock.

I use it from time to time on my scout suit its fun but tricky and lethal, last time I used it I saw a red hacking a blue CRU naturally I got behind him and fired, sadly a corpmate chose that exact moment and spot to respawn and effectively saved the reddot by meatshielding him and killing me with the splash. Was annoying but damned funny.

I mainly use it as an AV fit with my lai dai packed nades on my scout suit, Although I love getting kills with it, I've become pretty skilled using it. I have it to proficiency 3 atm too. I did use it today to blow up a HAV and an LAV then I went to hunt another LAV down but there were a lot of heavies near the objective so I just started one shotting all of them lol. |
