I'm just sitting here mauling them down with my mini-HMG (ACR) and they just stand there and take it. Some guy pulls out a boundless and so I spawn back in with my HM-82 in a STD suit and shoot him in the face (literally) so that he melts before I even go into armor.
Gah.
Do you even heavy bro?

Well...
I did take on three heavies and killed all three, and then when I was heavily wounded, a templar heavy came to finish me off, then sent me mail saying how awesome he was for killing a proto heavy in a templar heavy. 
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I generally don't play with my fat suit but i'm trying to take out my burst HMG and Adv heavy suit more often because of this event...

My scout put on a few hundred pounds of weight just for this event. I'll always be a scout at heart, but dang does it feel good to kill proto suits with a basic frame and republic HMG  Expect to see more fakes, half of them probably the scouts who were nova knifing all the heavies a few weeks ago.
Sometimes I miss never seeing tanks in a battle... then I remember the mystical flying soma, and I can't help but smile.

I was taken down by a militia smg earlier today in my militia heavy. How do you guys stand being both a beacon and blind at the same time. And you are so slow. And no pockets for my REs :( Ug. This is going to be a long event...

Something similar happened to me was well, I was destroying 3 guys in my standard amarr assault + scrambler rifle. I killed two of them but the 3rd guy killed me then sent me fanmail, asking what I was going to do when they nerf my crutch. 
The PC and SL should fit into the Sidearm slot so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

I enjoy having purpose for my 900 republic points, along with the 800 amarr points.
Run a A/1 series sentinel and republic boundless. God it feels great to not have 200 HP, hell even my twin tanked proto minassault has 600, this heavy has 600/982 o.o just go about murderin protos.

Im sorry but we heavies are just so much easier to hit a forge gun, and heavies are EVERYWHERE!
Also i giggle every time i get shot by militia FG's and i shrug it off and one shot them back

Still waiting for my suit to come back from the tailors (CCP) so I only have the standard basic
Do have good skills in HMG though.

I classify a fake heavy as someone who uses a light weapon in CC against HMGs expecting to kill us...
Or whoever uses an HMG without getting at least 20 kills, or 30 kills if they're using a boundless.
I also hate heavies that charge you across the street with an HMG while they're completely outside of their range. Such an easy kill.

I'm away for work but will be back tomorrow and plan on making the most of this.
I've been a heavy since I started playing when uprising released, specifically the HMG. I survived through to now, I used noting but HMG until 1.4, when I started forging... and these people think they can just "put on a suit" and run with it?
Heavies suffered for these buffs, and I for one won't tolerate these militia/LP/aurum using pretenders.
I call out to any experienced heavies (>10 mil SP and ran HMG before 1.4), lets put on our Sunday best, bring over our favourite logi and form a "true heavy" squad.

What this heavy event means to me:
I hit the SP cap in one day this week instead of two. CCP needs to start a 'sick bastard' server with unlimited weekly sp for those of us with no lives.

Only realised yesterday that the Templar BPO doesn't have any fitting requirements. That along with a couple of militia BPO's I've got floating around and the Republic HMG, and I'm on tour 
How do you put up with constantly being scanned and moving so slow! That said, being able to stroll through a firefight is nice, and the HMG is a monster.

Just wait around corners for people to run to you. If they're not smart enough to realize what you're doing they deserve to die.
Use cover as much as possible, aim for the head if it's another heavy, and don't run in with just your armor if you don't have to. Oh, and use armor repairers.

This Is such a moo point.. Just like operation shanobi .. There's and event and people try to join in on the bonus XP.You my friend are a perfect example of how of your weapon is OP. You take on 3 heavy's with a combat rifle.. Im no heavy but that's definitely op. Head to head and your combat rifle does more damage than heavy machine gun!? Kudos for exploits!

I said that I can take down heavies all day with my ACR. That's from about 40 meters away, staying OUTSIDE of their own optimals while I tear them to pieces within mine. I have to take them down in two carefully planned stages. First knock out their shield with a flux grenade or a lot of bullets, duck behind cover, reload, THEN go for the kill with their tiny amount of armor on their fake heavy. Oh, and did I mention that I sneak up on people like scouts do because I'm using a profile dampener so that they have no idea where I am?
That's called strategy. If the HMG user gets too close to me I run away. Trying to fight an HMG head on at 5 meters in suicide (I think it's funny when people try to do it with RRs ALL THE TIME).
No, not using any exploits of game mechanics, but I am exploiting the minds of enemy players to my advantage because some people are just so stupid XD

for being a HMG user for little over a year now. its fun to see games where there are a lot of HMG spooling up everywhere, full squads of Milt Heavy suits terrorizing everywhere,
but you fake heavys got to remember DONT run out in open areas, ive watched too many of you guys get mowed down from inexperience on the slow suit, Don't feed the Rail Rifles!
