My ps3 is connected to net via wireless router. Is this screwing up my game? Causing lag? Is wired the better way to go?

I haven't encountered many problems with wireless, but I suggest if you can do it wired test it for a week and see if there's any lag or difference.

If you have fast enough internet connection there should be no problems at all. I have 40mb connection and wireless @8 and haveno problems other than the game itself screwing up.

Yes, wireless connections are good 99.9% of the time, but when I suffer a lag-spike every 1000 seconds (~15 minutes) because somebody plugged in an old electronic device nearby or because somebody on the same wireless network opened a large website then I get annoyed - even if I'm very casual about how well I score in the game. So for me I've decided to put down a wired connection. |

I have a gen 2 "fat" ps3 and found that a wired connection works much better than wireless. With the newer slim ps3s you should be fine using wireless.

I have the same as you. Thanks for the info. Now I have to run a cable from one end of the house to the other. |

if you have very fast internet (50mb/s) and use wired, you will rarely see lag.

Even though I have everything for wireless I still use wired connections. Even the controller.

I always suggest playing with a wired connection, even if you dont notice the difference other people will You dont want to be the guy with a lag radius around him slowing everyone down do you
