my corp consistently run into the most ridiculously stacked teams. sometimes we're flat out placed on teams that are out numbered. other times will be placed against two full squads of proto stompers.
it makes no sense. a corpmate made a test corp and anyone who squads with him doesnt have those issues.
other newer corps sometimes play with us and complain that we run into way tougher squads far more than they do.
does ccp list certain corps as "hard" and always place them with other "hard" corps? because its not enjoyable |

If you're running in full squads it is possible that you're being put up against other full squads. Also, being put against double and triple squads is not rare. It is very rare when I don't have to face a full proto squad. I play solo.
I think it's all in your head. Just use teamwork and switch out your strategy.
Other thing it could be,
Only the guy chosen as leader is taken into account in the match making process. So if your squad leader has high KD then it may be more likely they would be matched against higher tier players.
Though I highly doubt there is any input from your stats or Corp. Scotty just puts you in the game that has the best relative connection as you, that's it.

Matchmaking is pretty bad at this point. LOKUN tends to run multiple squads into pubs, but we don't proto out when we do it. Most of the time we're fighting each other anyway. We do see a lot of stacked teams, but that's got more to do with the -lack- of real matchmaking at the moment.

we are cursed. we always have to q sync because if not it will be rogue spades and starter corps vs a full team of established corps.

It would be nice if we had it so that people without squads were matchmaked together. But what with all the regions and game modes it tends to split things up a bit.

you don't understand mann. i ran with a couple of FA dudes and we always had the stacked teams, nothing but starter corps on the otherside for 5 games straight. i go squad with my corp mates and the only corps were us and start corps.

Matchmaking algorithm is highly flawed in this regard, though some of it can be attested to lower player count, the algorithm itself doesn't always(or at all? Not an expert on this) account for such things.
People who know this stuff, correct me if I'm wrong please. |

I thought all you corp types wanted a challenge, you know competition.
I would rather look bad and win, than look good and lose.

What do you expect? At least you.have a squad, I.almost never do and you don't see me complaining about getting proto stomped.

In ACME we regularly end up fighting our own corp mates. Squad 1 on the defending side, squad 2 on the attacking side.
Happens all the time. The nice thing is we usually always get a great game when this happens as at least 1 squad on each team is pushing and fighting.
Occasionally scotty messes things up and gives one of our squads a great blueberry team while the other squad get academy freshies. |
