If this game became a mainstream PoS FPS I would ditch this game so quickly. Sure good mechanics are a must, but MMO and such are integral to this games raison d'etre Agree. I'm surprised people like the OP even still play the game if all they care about is the core FPS. It's not like CCP updates any of the MMO stuff very often. Virtually every update has been focused on core shooter gameplay and content, so I don't really see the point of this thread...
Just felt it needed reinforcing.

*1st level: Milita and standard fits only= Little ISK gain but is safe for people running those suits *2nd level: Advanced suits and modules= Better ISK gain than prev. level but still keeps protos out and evens out the battlefield. *3rd level: Proto and everything else= Best ISK payout and salvage along with other incentives to make people strive to get access to this level.
Other things such as WP and SP gain should vary for each level to make it worth while.
I think that would be a good start to make the gameplay a lot more evenly matched. No there shouldn't, this is a persistent world, you don't get to make those kinds of choices.

The game's core FPS gameplay has improved a lot since I first played in closed beta (controls were so awful, hit detection was extremely horrendous, melee didn't cancel reloading, running didn't cancel croutch etc), but there will always be room for improvements of core mechanics. If being done with core FPS gameplay is a prerequisite for getting anything else, then we would never get any new maps, we would have never got any more weapons and racial dropsuits beyond what were available in closed beta, and we would not even have player-created corps in Dust.
A better approach in my opinion (which CCP does already) is to do a bit of everything. New maps once in a while, core gameplay refinements, bug fixes, technical improvements, new content.
Furthermore, I hate vague posts like this; you don't specify exactly what mechanics you're talking about, how they need to be improved, or what your standards for them are. Pretty worthless as feedback, and CCP won't and shouldn't take your opinions seriously without details.
Sorry, I didn't mean FPS components such a hit detection ETC, but gameplay features: WP rewards PVE tiered matchmaking

And you actually expect to see PVE soon, before things like better corp management? Not only more, but better more balanced rewards that don't just insta kill the whole bloody team.

To clarify As i was rather vague.I am talking about FPS features such as NPE PVE WP rewards ETC. I'm saying this because i feel a large proportion of the player base thinkd everything should tie in with lore and a persistant universe even if it means excruciatingly slow progress. The "MMO persistant crap" is the only worthy selling point of Dust. Otherwise it's just a crap FPS that will always fail when compared to other shooters. If CCP want the money to improve on the FPS side of Dust then implement the simple MMO parts like PVE(NPE), and an open market and you should see the the player count go up. Why? Because these aspects would make Dust a truly unique game.
I'm not saying remove it just that the fps should be built around good ideas not the lore of the game.
