How about we have a newberry appreciation day once a month where everyone sets down their proto gear and just runs Meta 3 or lower on their suit? This way we can still dominate the F out of these guys and show them it isn't just the suit... but the gun game as well. For all the guys who say you worked hard to get your proto stuff I ask this... Is it really fun sitting at the enemy redline trying to shoot the few stupid ones that try to run out while dodging redline sniper bullets? OR would you rather have some probable close games and maybe end up losing a few? One thing I learned in my time on PFC is Meta 1 fights are tons of fun. Wish we could have more of these. Shhhh. it's a secret.

I have sent over 25mil to my tanker/ads alt to learn how to fly effectively... thinking it is about time I gave up and kept my ass on the ground where my empress intended me to be. It's your K/D that keeps you in proto. Even against newbs with no SP you cant put away your best gear. Who wants some?

You can still do more with your gear than the noobs can. You still know the maps better. Etc. etc. In any case, I'm just about all for an infantry and militia gear only mode, except that I'm sure that some of you guys would find how to hack it for your own purposes like you've done to the Planetary Conquest mode. I also get the idea that it would upset CCP's idea of a "healthy economy" where we all use up Proto Suits so we can spend our AURUM. Maybe they could make the SP and ISK payouts smaller to compensate?
