Funny.
I remember people saying the same thing about Eve Online 11 years ago. Then 5 years ago about Eve. Then last year about Eve. And still I keep running into people in Eve Online who think Eve Online is broken.
Well, Eve Online is still here and competing well.
CCP developed Eve Online.

CCP developed Eve Online. You do realize EvE starts new players out in highsec, where no one is going to kill them. Sure its possible to, but no one would because newbs don't have anything valuable. Dust throws you to the wolves almost immediately. The equivalent in EvE would be to set up starting systems as a single highsec system in the middle of null security space.
You forget that Concord was once tankable back then so imagine the tears flowing like wine in high sec when ganks were everywhere against miners and haulers.

CCP has neither confirmed or denied the possibility of an infantry respec. Although the fact that CCP logibro has opened up a discussion thread about it in the feedback section is telling.

The most hilarious part is that he thinks high sec newbs don't have anything valuable in high sec. Lol

@shiruba
I do agree that DUST has major problems right now. In fact, I have been critical of CCP a few times already. But unlike the OP, I didn't have to be a jerk about it. Some people just need to learn how to give constructive and well thought out feedback. That helps CCP more than just calling them stupid.
Edit: the famous Judge is well known for his very well thought out observations regarding vehicle imbalance and shows it very well in YouTube videos. In fact, it was because of the way he portrayed the issues that CCP took interest in his critiques.

CCP developed Eve Online. If only DUST shared basically any similarities with EVE, and also lacked competition like EVE did. Different games are different.
Eve lacking competition?
World of Warcraft Guild Wars X Rebirth
Of course, WoW and GW are dragons and fantasy compared to Eve's scifi, but they are technically mmo games.

CCP developed Eve Online. Ugh... this tired old argument lol You need to understand Eve and Dust are two completely different genres on two completely different systems. The console crowd are a much more fickle, unforgiving crowd than the PC gaming crowd. The FPS console crowd is probably the most unforgiving niche you can find. Look up a video of someone raging over a video game. Chances are it's an FPS. If I wrote an amazing, breathtaking book, do you think I should be able to make an amazing, breathtaking movie as well? Just because one succeeds doesn't mean the other will. I hope Dust turns out alright, but playing this game it is incredibly obvious that CCP are new to FPS's. They knew this game would have issues which is why they were smart enough not to charge for it. Imagine just how beyond dead this game would be if you had to pay money to play it. I wouldn't buy this game in it's current state and it's been out 9 months. It's as if CCP's "10 year plan" is to have a playable game... in 10 years.
And yet another one misses the point. Eve Online was competing against EA's Earth & Beyond when it first came out. Everyone thought Eve would crumble under E&B but instead E&B collapsed and Eve grew stronger. I heard the same thing about Xplane competing against Microsoft Flight Simulator with everyone thinking MSFS will win. MSFS got discontinued and got bought up by Lockheed Martin.
My overall point, which you missed, is that I have heard this before and usually this ended up with the doomsayers being wrong.

Mag Battlefield Call of duty
It's already competing. Just not effectively at the moment.
