Thats beta... on the ps3.. pretty much what everyone glorifies.. cuz it was amazing.. Did it have glitches? yes... Did it have some lag? yes..
Was it much different then now? nope.. better frame rate consistency BY FAR in my opinion.. but frame rate dips are very noticeable these days... |

The PS3 is holding this game back! Meh. I'm not a fan of 60 FPS. If there's an option to cap the frame-rate to 30 FPS, sure. Just saying, Titanfall is great and all but good lord is there a lot going on. Looks jerky and just generally nauseating.
A good computer makes that game sing. Its truly amazing.. a good example of how to separate mechanical units and infantry based with allowing them good competition with one another when they cross.
It's the mobility that does it ultimately for me.. The ability to create fast based gameplay by knowing your movement limitations well.
I can be competitive just moving around and ninja kicking people in the face. Absolutely a blast and has like no content and its still amazing. |

Looked incredibly fluid. It never looks that fluid.
I miss it... I Feel like a Person trying to play the latest computer game on my 4 year old box in DUST right now.. Fluid aiming is only possible for the first 5 minutes of a match these days.. and then the frame rate starts going from 10-20 FPS in populated fire fights... near impossible for any consistent control input. |

As for the "MMOFPSRPG"... Yeah... An "FPS" with a few RPG elements... Almost no MMO...
Gameplay is a yawn, improvement is turtle slow, I just stopped caring almost a full year ago. Played religiously during beta, but the past year has just destroyed any interest. I can't get past the basic pervasive repetitive boredom to play enough to care about the community, which is the only thing that really holds most of you in this game...
Also, don't put on the rose tinted glasses for the PS4 and Carbon engine. First off the carbon engine is basically the engine handling character creation, for all intents and purposes they said it was ill suited to FPS development on console. I would rather they built an engine from scratch or at least heavily modified than used Unreal, and I think most of you are looking at the Carbon Engine as some kind of holy grail when it was probably a broken teacup...
Second 4K is completely dumb to even consider making games in, heck the PS4 is having trouble getting 60FPS at some 720p games... Much less 1080...
Anyways, I would just advise sitting on the sidelines and watching DUST slog forward... Lord knows they are gonna need that 10 year plan to get it more than mediocre LOL
Watch DUST back in 2009 on the Carbon Engine yourself and tell me how well it was suited... ?

DUST has been in development since 2008. |
