basic level:
damage: 2500 Clip size: 1 Reload time: 5 seconds max ammo capacity: 12 splash damage: 100 splash range: 2.9m projectile velocity: 90% compared to the normal plasma cannon charge time: 2.9 seconds Cost: roughly 100 CPU and 4 PG
advanced level:
damage: 2700 Clip size: 1 Reload time: 5 seconds max ammo capacity: 12 splash damage: 125 splash range: 2.9m projectile velocity: 90% compared to the normal plasma cannon charge time: 2.9 seconds Cost: roughly 120 CPU and 6 PG
prototype level:
damage: 2900 Clip size: 1 Reload time: 5 seconds max ammo capacity: 12 splash damage: 145 splash range: 2.9m projectile velocity: 90% compared to the normal plasma cannon charge time: 2.9 seconds Cost: roughly 150 CPU and 8 PG
What does everyone think of this idea? Everyone can see the current plasma cannon is probably UP. Barely anyone uses this weapon against a vehicle when they are not messing around.

I think it's a great idea, though I think that much like the plasma cannon, this weapon has also been pre-nerfed. When you count charge time and reload, the basic breach plasma cannon is only putting out 316 direct DPS. That's not very much for a weapon that's such an incredible pain to hit with in the first place. Anyway, numbers don't matter, that's the devs' job. +1 for the idea. |

I figured that if I used this breach plasma cannon to attack a tank's weak spot (located on the back of it) it would do much more damage. Especially against shield tanks.
1.1 x 2500 =2750
2750 x 1.6 = (2750 + (6 x 200) + (6 x 70) + (6 x 5)) = 2750 + 1200 + 420 + 30 = 4400 damage
I think 1.6 is roughly the damage modifier for hitting a tanks weak spot (not the 2nd weak spot underneath it)
If it is about 1.3 instead of 1.6 then: 2750 x 1.3 = 3575 damage |

I think it's 1.3. I suppose you're right, though, that's probably plenty, especially if damage mods stay in the game as-is. |

I would also like to point out that this breach plasma cannon in combination with packed AV grenades would allow you to ambush and destroy tanks very quickly, because the damage that you could produce with those AV grenades in a short period of time after firing the cannon would probably be enough to destroy a non-hardened shield tank and severely hurt an armored tank. |
