It has come to my attention, that because I am primarily an EVE player, I'm looked upon with a sort of prejudice for this whole election, that I don't know what's in the best interest of the game.
1st. I am a huge Dust Supporter, I picked up EVE for the sole purpose of helping DUST Players, as anyone who has been with me from the start of last year, XDrake19, Vice Galloza, Pud Striker69, and various others know how dedicated I am to helping them.
The reason I spend the majority of my time on EVE is a number of factors,
1. I believe it gives DUST players a distinct advantage to have an EVE side to provide orbitals. 2. After dying to pirates or other hostile fleets trying to prevent or provide orbitals, I've realized I need bigger fleets of my own to combat them. 3. I spend most of my time doing politics and planning, having a keyboard makes that easier. 4. I Support the idea of One Universe//One War and I want to see a high Demand of Mercs from EVE players, I have successfully persuaded bitter EVE veterans into believing that Dust is worth their time, despite LOW BENEFITS for them. (There are better ways to earn LP than orbitals and better ways to get fights in space too.)
I don't want people to think I only care about EVE. Infact EVE is merely a portal to New Eden, much like DUST and the future: Valkyrie.
I care about the community, I will listen to your request and NDA willing, try to be as transparent and informative as I possibly can engaging the community. I understand NPE is important and Core Mechanics need to be fixed, I care about the racial dropsuits, new weapons, and vehicles.
My priorities are primarily what people would call "PC focused", they are what I would actually call MMO Focused.
Open Free Market is the first way to connect thousands of players together instantly everyday and it provides the ability to give players a shot at economics and actually making isk.
PC and strengthening the link is the gateway to the grand stories of New Eden and the way Mercenaries WILL etch their names in History. "Remember the battle of Aeditide? Hundreds of ships battled over the planet while Mercenaries fought on the ground taking wave after wave of enemy forces, it all ended swiftly when the combined forces used the planetary cannon to destroy a dreadnaught causing the hostile fleet to warp off in fear."
That is my vision, that is my dream.

Matthew,
I appreciate your statement and I think that having someone who is primarily an EVE player on the CPM has some very real benefits for the long term health of the game. I think you've done an excellent job describing your vision for not so much linking two games but truly providing a shared persistent universe that is meaningful to different styles and types of communities.
I would recommend getting some definitive and meaty remarks out on major Dust topics to let people see a bit more of your perspective on the stand alone components of Dust.

I have a foot in both games, as do a lot of people, but there are not many actively playing the DUST side of EVE. This gives you a unique and important perspective. But you will want to play a bit of DUST, so that you understand the issues and the current state of the game. More importantly, you will want to let people know that you play Dust regularly, even if it is only a couple of games a few times a week, so that they know you are still in touch with developments on the ground. You have to assure your constituents that you are still in touch with their needs. If you can manage to squad up for those sessions you can collect intel from people who play more frequently.
You might set a time aside, like playing DUST for an hour before work, and then playing EVE in the evening.
DUST is a bit easier to hop onto for short sessions without any prep, than EVE is.

Whether Spartacus Dust gets elected to the CPM or not, I think the CPM should help get him in touch with the Developers who will be development the EVE side of PC 2.0, and other EVE/DUST links. Even if he can just build a relationship with an EVE Community Manager who can pass his feedback along, that would be something.
With the lack of interest in DUST EVE side, development of the EVE side of PC 2.0 will have to be an GÇ£If we build it, they will comeGÇ¥ scenario. I think they might do better to consult with someone who is GÇ£thereGÇ¥ already.
Of course if Spartacus Dust gets elected to the CPM that will put him under the NDA, which will make it so that all CCP developers can speak to him more openly. Of course the challenge would still be to get him hooked up with the correct developers.

Hell it's a similar reason why I'd like to see Soraya, have a Gent on the CPM and CSM it's a link between the representatives of the two games.

Sugar Kyle from 7-2 (calamitous intent) is running as a CSM lowsec rep, she seems to care about Dust quite a bit especially since we've impacted the region she and other pirates have been living in for quite some time.

I haven't been in the Skies in MH for a few months, I'd be interested to hear their opinions on and knowledge about PC.

I would be greatly appreciative, I'd really like to figure out which EVE dev handles the whole link too...

I've been playing DUST, just as Levi McDaniel and a few alts I have in other corps to see what they're up too :P
But he has more SP than Spartacus, so he's my main. I see a lot of griping on the forums that Minmatar Logi sucks. I'm really surprised, with only 12 million SP, I go 0/3 or 12/2 kd, but I have like 15 kill assist minimum and over 1,000 warpoints from hacking/healing/resupply.

You donGÇÖt have to play on Spartacus Dust, but during your campaign it will be important to mention that you are playing DUST regularly. Simply because your focus is on the EVE/DUST interface, people will start to wonder if you actually play DUST. So just remember to mention it in your campaign material as appropriate.

Yeah I play Dust quite a bit still, the rail rifle + modded controllers is getting on my nerves, but I think there is little CCP can do about it.
