Guys need to remember that when you hear the word HAV, it does not imply a tank, a tank is classed as a HAV vehicle. E.g the SCV is a HAV.
Fighters (light aircraft)
Reconnaissance craft (light aircraft with ewar etc)
Dropships (Medium aircraft)
Bombers (medium aircraft)
Logistical support craft ( medium aircraft rearm and resupply aerial units as well as ground units if close units, vice versa)
Gunships (heavy aircraft)
Speeder bikes (LAVs)
3-man jeep, what we have now needs a better name (LAV)
APC (MAV)
Logistical support unit for ground vehicles (MDV)
Tanks (HAVs)
SCVs (HAVs)
People need to realise that lav, mav and hav are just terms for categorisation and that it is not the name of the vehicle itself.
I hear people saying HAV for when spotting tanks, but in the future with SCVs ( squad command vehicles) I think people will realise that they can not simply shout HAV! Anymore, they will have to call out what it is like JEEP! SPEEDER! FIGHTER! GUNSHIP! TANK! APC! etc.. get what I am saying?

I hate it when describing a gunship to people, they reply with, dropship with a large turret?
**** no, a dropship is transport not heavy offense!

I think there's a fairly even divide when it comes to what people expect from Gunships. From what I've seen, about half of people see them as light, fast harassment vehicles Then there's those like myself who see them as slow, heavily armored GUNships, bristling with GUNS I sure hope the latter is what we get in 4089 when they're finally released for testing.
Thank you Fiend, your one of the other few players I know who have the same perception of a gunship in dust as me.
