I recently acquired a Samsung 75" LED HDTV. After having played a few matches on it, I couldn't help but notice how it negatively affected my gameplay.
When using my Thale's, any target past 530m seemed to vanish into thin air. On the 60" Sony I have been using, I've made kills up to 597m without problems. Truthfully, I am unsure if there was a change made in game to counteract redline sniping or if the TV is at fault, but it's a problem I have never encountered before.
Moreover, my sensitivity settings seemed to be working slower than usual. Tracking targets proved difficult unless I changed my settings to twice the amount I would normally play on. Even then, I'd still get minor delays in rotation speed which would often lead to me losing CQC engagements I would have normally won. For some reason, movement feels a lot less fluid although I know it is not.
Can anyone help me on these problems, or are they things I will just have to get used to? |

What it means is that you see the rendering issue more clearly now. I have seen my dot reticule go red and no one is there. Move a couple of meters ahead, they suddenly appear.

I have had the same troubles, but I use a Samsung 42" Smart TV that constantly refreshes frames. It's one reason I stopped using ScR so much. My crosshairs would be red but I wouldn't hit anything and then get killed by a RR blast from someone I couldn't see.

Sounds to me it's input lag. Try playing it on 'game mode' in your TV display settings and on 720p?

I've noticed that play is a lot different between my two televisions too. I have a Sony and a Toshiba. The Sony bravia in my bedroom is 60 and the contrast is lower than the much larger toshiba in the living room.
I find that hitting targets on the smaller, less contrasted Bravia is much easier.
I don't really know. Is it because it's a smaller screen, or is it contrast differences?
If I gave more of a crap I would guess I would start at adjusting my contrast levels to see what benefits you the most on the larger television. Then try it on the smaller one. If you find that you still feel like there is an advantage to the smaller television then just use that all the time.
We can pickle that.

It's because it's a Sony brand, made compatible for PS3 and it's also because it's smaller. Less response time.

Can anyone help me on these problems, or are they things I will just have to get used to? Sensitivity may have not decreased, you said it yourself, you switched to a larger screen. What you could be noticing is relative scaling. In other words the glitchy behavior may have been there, but a bit smaller, so you didn't notice it before.
As for detailing the speed of the relay, you may want to check your input settings. Whether you like it or not, all systems (PS3 and any "Smart TV") have a Default resolution built into them that functions best with their Default Ratios. Hence when the ratios are met, the visuals speed up because less processing time is used, while if the ratios are out of the default range, a few extra cycles are used to stretch or compress the screen to what is requested by the output.
If you can read this, it means you are reading.
Unless you are skimming
