Nothing else to spend SP on other than Medium Frames, Heavy Frames, and Vehicles.
Having all this SP really makes it hard to choose which fit to run. If only there wasn't a limit of 40 dropsuit fittings. that's only enough for 8 of each of my prototype suits. And it's not like I want to run proto all the time.
I like the idea. But I wouldn't join. I like the scouts in the scouts' chat channel and I've been in a corp and am in a corp with many of them however I like the corps I've been in. I'm not joining any new ones until my friends stop playing.

I think they should round up the heavies, with the help of the logis and put them into a camp. We will use the assaults to guard the camps and the scouts will overlook it the day to day management...we will give commandos special privilege of course so they can snitch and star in underground fight clubs...but they will go the way of the heavies as should all heavies.

Haha oh ok. I thought you meant top 100 not just people that posted on a thread... I understand that a lot of "top scouts" are listed in that thread but I was asking more or less how someone would qualify as one of the top 100 scouts. I don't necessarily think that the scout registry, at least as far as I understand it, properly rates a scouts from 1 to 100.
That being said I don't think that arranging them in order of total kills/KD/etc would be truly representative of skill. I don't really think the game provides us a way to determine who would be in the top 100 since people use different fittings. Sure, you could say "I use a scout suit 75% of the time" and try to estimate how many of your total kills resulting form "scouting" but I was hoping someone had a better suggestion.
But yeah, I guess it's just a lot easier to assume I've never seen the thread "scout registry" that's been around for a while now in the forums as opposed to actually suggesting something new.
Since I have not posted in the thread I guess I'm disqualified immediately no nevermind.
PS: I don't see why the number of likes someone has means anything in threads but maybe I'm just not as into online forums as other people. |

The old registry was organized by kill count and tracked Kd/R
It was easy tO see the top scouts

Many aspects of scouting come into play that really don't contribute to a good KDR. It's really hard to measure how "good" someone is when we have so many diverse approaches to a more open game style. Sure it's not hard to see that some players are very good at what they do. I would never argue that mustard, Moody, or any number of other players are not in the top ranks of scouts, but outlining the criteria for what is a "top" scout is not actually all that simple.
In the end any role in this game is rather abstract, which is actually something I find rather enjoyable about it.
Okay I am rambling a bit nowGǪ
I like the OPs idea, and as stated maybe not something to do right now. I see challenges with defining what a top scout is, but that is because of my perspective on what is a scout, as well as my personal beliefs about creating hierarchy, but the spirit of the idea intrigues me.

lol this corp would suck so bad...
I can imaging deploying against that 'Only BadS Scout' corp - the second you see that in the menu it would like "alright boys, roll out 8 heavies, 8 logi's with AS and everyone bring nades and MD.... oh and don't forget rubber boots because we'll be making a blood bath"
PLC, NK, Scout - before 1.8.
That's right, I stack that OP Sh!t.

0 XD I was screwed in that game, I'd have my RR/NK fit to tryin get a nk fight goin with the 1 scout then run into a sg. Switch to the sg and run back into the Nker. May end up saying screw it and toss knifes onto a SG fit.

But idea, both of them as a combo will completely undermine you when it comes to medium - long range combat....lol it would only work in a city...and you would have to stay there FOREVER.
