It was my belief from reading lore that the Gallente were/ are afraid of the Caldari because of the fact that they left the federation. They believed if one nation left then the others may follow, destroying the federation. The way I read it was the same as if California suddenly seceded from the United States. What the Gallente did was the same as what the United States would have done... Tried to reel them back in. Am I Gallente? Yes. I enjoy the Gallente acceptance of other races as well as the melting pot of diversity within the federation. But that does not necessarily mean I agree with the governments actions. Each of the EVE empires has had dark times and done things that I am sure they are not proud of...
I understand that no one is perfect within the eve universe and no one has the right to judge each other but I like the caldari because of their style and their culture more specifically their tube children, but I am a caldari supporter and I will be ignorant to any other propaganda other than caldari
