You think a 250 damage (if lucky) on a tank would be useful ?
Swarms are 220 x 5 (ADV) and are almost useless. Plasma cannon is 1000 of damage and as everybody know it it's pretty useless against a tank that is not AFK.....
If you want melee weapons to affect vehicules it must not be on pure damage. But !
I think each melee weapon of each race could apply a special debuff on vehicules hit.
Caldari (NK) : Sparks from the knife makes the Main turret instantly Overheat. Turret must have cooldowned before Re-applyng the overheat. Gallente : Makes the scan of the tank totally disabled, no information on Map for 30/60sec. / Tank is spotted for same time. Minmatarr : Tank speed is reduced to 20% of normal speed for 10sec (keep hitting it to reduce the tank speed as long as you hit.) Amarr : Laser tech makes melt the "defensive" of tanks making them takes 20% more damage for 25sec.
Uh, what are you talking about with damage? You've obviously never actually used NKs, or even really seen them used... a proto Minja with proto knives will hit with 2 charged swipes (each trigger tap / charge = 2 swipes) for upwards of 1200 damage, or more than a militia FG. With a 0.8 second charge time, you could slice through an unhardened Madrugar before a breach forge has even finished charging. NKs out-damage every weapon in the game, if you can get into melee range.
Also, this really isn't meant to be useful suggestion for serious AVing, just a fun thing that would only require CCP to change a few numbers in their database. |
