If you could sprint while charging (inability to do so was admitted by CCP to be a bug, and not an intended mechanic), this wouldn't be a problem.
Scout walk speed is higher than other suits, but not by enough to balance out the apparent loss of speed when charging or slashing.
If you have to fight enemies who are aware of you and you only have Knives, the best option is to sprint in close enough then just quick slash instead of charging. The ACTUAL best option is to either shoot or not get seen in the first place, because you're a Scout, and Scouts don't do well with being seen. |

Link please? After a slack job of trying to use the forum search tool, I remember why I never use the forum search tool.
After an equally slack job of using Google search, I found that I may have been incorrect.
There were unique animations present for sprinting with Nova Knives charged, but I could be wrong about official word on it being an unintended limitation on Knives. I have a feeling it was mentioned somewhere, but the closest I can find to a reference is this thread where they mention the animations:
https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=789379#post789379
I'm 100% sure I've seen other references to the same thing, along with having seen the animation for myself in-game, but I'm not 100% certain of official acknowledgement that it had been intended. I am about 80% sure, but I'm also in dire need of sleep right now, so a proper search can wait. |

DUST doesn't look anything at all like this. |

I see what you did there. This is more what I meant. But that's not MW2. It's a CoD game. Nothing against that particular one, but it isn't on a sufficient level to deserve the acronym. They can have MW4, since there's no MechWarrior 4 (don't believe the lies Microsoft would tell you). |
