Yeah, your grammar and spelling.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

The puny little shields on our vehicles likely have much lower "thresholds" as described in the article, hence sustaining damage.
The EVE ships would not take any damage either from a Combat Rifle, yet our vehicles will register it briefly, so this already clues us in that there are much lower kinetic thresholds.
As for the derpships recoiling, likely an automated countermeasure to keep you from completely collapsing the shields, as in space you can just "bounce away" but on the ground, well... The planet wins, every time, so you have to bounce or die.

I don't see anything that would immediately make me think that shields on vehicles or dropsuits would react the same way. It is the ship that is self-correcting their propulsion in order avoid damage to the structure itself, so LAV into Tank or Dropship into ground would still be devastating. I forget the exact scenario but I know that one of the reasons (like they need one to kill each other) for the recent Gallente-Caldari war was because a station by X side was rammed into by a capital ship by Y side, killing everyone aboard. This means that impact death is still possible via EVE lore. Something moving fast and/or being very heavy is still packing a lot of kinetic energy, which does damage shields.
From that article, yes, it seems that Dropships shouldn't alter and swing violently when hit with a weapon. |

That's why I post everything here; you get more (and technically less) of a chance to get a dev to see your stuff here.
