Don't even know why I'm surprised, this isn't uncommon. I have played so many skirmish and domination games where the one team controls the points for the entire game yet the other side still has 100 clones at the end. They simply don't try. When you get redlined or close to it, I don't blame people for breaking out the sniper gear, but to not try to win? Why play?
I hear ya, I never give up. I think a lot of people are sick of seeing the same old pubstomping crews every day and just ride out the match. For example, every morning this week I have hit S.A.L.U.K.I and Ravenclaw warts four or five matches in a row, on the same team and all going tryhard in full proto. Some blue dots gave up instantly and those games we lost. When you get a few other guys that try, those matches we won and were actually good.
I run basic and ADV in pubs cause there are enough 24/7 tryhards out there we don't need anymore. Besides, when you beat someone relying on gear with a basic fit it lets you know you got game. I don't go positive every match, but I don't care about my KD, 1.15 I think.
But I break a lot of proto in basic gear cause half of em, well, they just can't win without it, it's funny when you look at the leaderboard and see that guy you killed running the 200K fit go 24/15! That sucks running proto, positive KD yes, but awful when going against basic, ADV gear squads. And I love knowing I killed the no skill prick with a Toxin and basic BPO fit two or three times.
So don't give up blue dots, you can do it, just don't be a bunch of sissy's and give up at the first sign of a proto squad.
