just now I play a sica with some armor and a damage mod and hardener(alll mit) and record a 8-tanks distroy record without dying(I am a frontline person not redline) most of them are basic tanks and Glass cannon what I mean is HOW a mit tank distory those much basic tank it is not balance in class of mit and basic

How is it fair that a player like me using militia can take out a 250,000 Isk standard tank like it was a 90,000 isk militia tank? There is no balance in the case of militia and standard tanks when it comes to tank vs tank combat."

But to answer his question it's because for most modules militia mods have the same efficacy as complex mods with the only difference being a longer cooldown period on the militia mods. There are also no skills to increase damage, armor, shield or resistances so SP is largely irrelevant. It is a stupid system that makes militia tanks easily on par with standard tanks for a fraction of the cost and no SP.
While standard tanks and lots of SP put in to vehicles does offer advantages the difference between the two is nowhere near what it used to be. They have made militia tanks way, way too effective with these last changes.

I can kill enemy tanks pretty regularly with a Missile Sica - the Missile Turret is the only thing NOT Militia on the fitting I use most often (I have some better fits as well, but I run that because it's fun and cheap).
I tend to take a hit-and-run approach to combat with enemy tanks, and while I die a lot, I rarely go without at least a couple of tank kills. Congrats on taking down 8. The "problem" is that unlike Dropsuits, there are only 2 tiers of tanks, and you don't get the same huge contrast between top-end fittings and the cheapest options. They really need to narrow the price gap OR widen the gap in effectiveness of low-tier tanks vs. high-tier. The top end tanks are in a good place for the most part (although AV needs work and they're still faster than LAVs, which makes no sense), which means MLT and the lower-grade modules need nerfing. |
