seems like you are making a pretty broad spectrum back handed insult to those that think RE's are fine as is.

there is no way you will convince me that RE's are stronger then rifles,scanners, uplinks, tanks, or any of the other current FOTM crutches out their.
if used as a grenade it's 9 times out of 10 a suicide mission, you need to be in melee range, and if you removed the post death trigger it would pretty close to never happen.
now let's look at rifles and more specifically the rail rifle since it's so popular easily killing up to 150+ meters capable of kill the heaviest of armor tanks in less then 1.25 seconds, a clip large enough to drop multiple targets without reloading.
how about uplinks generating 1000's of war points and making most teams damn near unstoppable when spammed, theirs a reason entire teams run uplinks and only a minor few use RE's,
do I need to discuss tanks? how about scanners?
seriously the fact that someone wants to compare really makes me feel for howbad some people are at this game... |

They are great equalizers in battle, and require more skill, risk, and action than MDs and nades.
They probably should be moved to the grenade slot, or not replaceable by Supply Depots & Nanohives. I don't get Uplinks and Nanohives restored, REs shouldn't be able to either if they are to be treated as equipment and not weaponry.
At this point in time, if you're still falling for RE traps, then you need to evolve your game to a higher level. This isn't a matter of an OP item, this is someone butthurt that they got killed. respawn and go kill their ass, tis a game. I lose half my payout because some scrub has no skill and uses a instakill contact grenade Its op against infantry like that
maybe you shouldn't run proto's in pubs. then you wouldn't lose half your payouts to scrubs -.-

The only insult (calling them scrubs) is to those that are getting angry at the mere mention of a nerf and are hurling insults at the OP rather than rational discuss why his points are wrong. I'm not trying to convince you that they're stronger than any of the things you listed. All I'm trying to convince people of is that they need a longer delay before arming because as they are now they are practically contact grenades with more damage and a larger blast radius.
that unlike grenades need to be dropped at your feet in melee range.
not saying range is important but theirs a reason nova knives are a gimick weapon |
