(And, No, I'm not a racist - so you can abandon whatever lame Hit|er/Holocaust argument you're already concocting in your little Junior Varsity brain. I'm a farmer. Plants that do not produce are removed and processed into mulch to feed the future productive crop.)
What do you see as the problem with CCP Shanghai? If it is a lack if production, how do you see this related to the location? Speed of production likely has multiple influences. Recent change in direction of design as well as directorship would effect the output levels. It's like having a franchise of Sales Offices. When margins are narrowed, the least effective or even defective branches are eliminated and their workload outsourced to a more productive facility. They (CCP) have expressed a communication breakdown in the past and even address it (via context clues) in any job listing I've run across. The change in management has been long enough for the effects to be seen already, if the new EP was worth his weight in salt. But what have we seen? That glorious AV balance pass? Event rewards delayed by nearly a month? It may seem petty, but it's very indicative of what is ahead. Communication issues are always something that needs to be addressed, I agree with you on that. Though as far as the new EP proving his value, I want to see what we get here soon. I expect a certain level of delay with that shift though. It's much like when leadership changes in government, rapid change does not really happen and usually the first block of time is spent assessing, readjusting and sometimes repairing the damage done by the previous heads of state. 1.8 is looking to be one large content drop, one I am looking forward to. I know previous actions by CCP in regards to Dust have been less than encouraging, and many of us are frustrated with different aspects of what has past, but for my part I don't really hold the current EP accountable for that, not even really the existing team at Shanghai, simply because I don't know what extent of cluster **** is their responsibility and what was poor decisions of previous people.
I don't know that outsourcing (or changing branches within CCP) would help the situation, or slow things down further. The people who have all the information on these things obviously are in a better position to make that assessment than I.
The delay on event rewards is annoying me a bit Pretty sure I have a few hundred knife kills racked up for that one, and I can always use free suits
