(1) Teiricide. Do it now while it is easier, the longer the game goes on the most of a pain it will be to do. Teiricide will help with several problems including new player experience (mostly because instead of proto vets have a 100% advantage over them it will only be 50%).
(2) Racial Parity, number one to the max. We cannot consider true balance between races until each races combat strategies and supporting equipment/weapons/modules are in place. We need a long/short range light weapon for each race, a full line up of racial equipment, and a full compliment of sidearms for each race. We need all racial vehicles, turrets, and core vehicle roles. How can we consider balance when we are missing like 80% of the equipment that should exist? How can infantry combat full develop when we are missing multitudes of weapons and play styles to go with them?
(3) PvE & New Player Experience. Personally I see these going hand-in-hand, with PvE new players have somewhere to go and training without be subject to the vets. In EVE PvE is what most of the new players I have known start out doing for quite a bit of their time, they just aren't ready to face other players whose skills leave them at a massive disadvantage. It would also help expand your options in what you can do, I am sure vets would also enjoy a highly difficult teamwork based PvE opportunity. Also new players need the different races combat strategies better explained to them, I have several friends who skilled into Caldari because the only thing they had to go on was "It looked the coolest" but, when explained, instead prefer Minmatar tactics yet are now stuck in Caldari.
(4) Player market. Needs to be put in eventually but before more Dust/EVE immersion goes too far. This way they can bring a semblance of balance to it although when they merge it with the EVE market everything is going to go upside down regardless, really just a question of how bad.
(5) Improve Current game modes & Dust/EVE connection. Personally I see these going rather hand-in-hand as well.
(6) Personaly suit/vehicle color customization. While greatly desirable it only affects look, not core gameplay so leave it for once you have built above the currently glaring problems.
(7) Dust to PC/PS4. Make it one or the other but not both, PC gamers and console gamers cannot mix because you will either end up having to buff one ( console gamer) or cripple the other (PC) which will cause a whole bout of "No skill console players" or "Stop limiting PC users, it isn't fair!". Raw PC shooters vs console gamers will result in console gamers being run out of the game. |
