I suggest you dump the damage mods and use the slots for militia myofibril stimulant and basic precision enhancer. It's not so much do I need them, it's more of a just keep them because more gank is always nice or stop one shotting everything and take them off.
So, just quick back of the envelope calculations:
No DMG mods, Prof V, PRO ScR
- base damage 91
- charged damage 318
Two Complex DMG mods, Prof V, PRO ScR
- base damage 106
- charged damage 370
Obviously the punch from the charge gets the biggest boost. As to the "need" question, you just have to decide what you could do with those slots instead. For high slots, you don't have a lot of options.
You could leave them empty and save about 11k ISK. Is that money important to you?
You could put in shields or shield regulators. Do you need more or quicker tank?
You could put in precision enhancers. Do you get knifed by scouts and wish that didn't happen?
You could put in myofibril stimulants. Do you feel like you should be doing more melee damage? If yes, you are a dweeb. Don't put myofibril stimulants on your fit. If you absolutely MUST do melee damage just invest in knives. |

I only included Myo because they are a legitimate option. Just like leaving the slots empty is also a viable option. I wasn't poking fun at you.
In my mind the only legit option here is putting on a Precision mod. ScR is a gun that favors picking your engagements, charging your shots, and aiming well. Extra shield tank isn't going to necessarily support that play style especially if OP is in Amarr suits (which isn't a given but I default assume all ScR users are Amarr).
Precision, on the other hand, will help reveal anybody who needs to be shot. It will tell you what direction they are facing and where they are. This helps you can plan better. I am also a huge fan of EWAR overall. So if the gun is doing 10% more damage than you need it to, there is room to make the fit more efficient. |
